"Evening Shimmer:" Magical evening light creates reflections that shimmer in the water at Watson Lake. Cottonwood fluff garnishes the water's surface as white specks. For a moment, time stood still.
A person, who values the beauty of nature and ambient in the world, for richer and happier than those, who did not notices this.

A shot of the only sunset that was photo worthy while on the trip. Being rainy season it was often cloudy in the evening so I couldn't get the ubiquitous 'palm tree silhouette' shot so I went for the 'Close up coral on the beach' shot instead. Not enough depth of field but anyway...

Evening grosbeaks are unlike any other songbirds! Other birds like to eat wild cherries but only Evening grosbeaks target the pits. They remove the tasty skin and flesh of a cherry, crush the remaining seed with their powerful beak and then swallow it whole.
Evening grosbeaks are so into these cherry pits that they are known to seek out the pits discarded by American Robins!
Pastel birds are tough to photograph, the most difficult to get good exposure for me anyway They always turn out looking like cartoon characters so I never add any of my photos of Waxwing or E Grosbeak.

Just playing at photography evening class. this one is a crystal globe in front of a background I printed off the web. It's one of a series I took this week. I had great fun. I think I may try a different lens in future, to try and get the background in sharp focus as well as the lens ball. We shall see....
Beach bound for a few days of hacking the golf ball and hot tubbing with friends! Have a great weekend my friends!

Colours originate only from the cold. The look directs
itself in the Rhine Valley, as well as the Eifel.

Novemberabend
An einem kalten Novemberabend auf der Löwenburg, über
dem Siebengebirge bei Bonn/Deutschland. Die wunderbaren
Farben entstehen erst durch die Kälte. Der Blick richtet
sich in das Rheintal, sowie die Eifel.
