After a great day of fun in the sun with good friends, good music and happy kids, it was finely time to let the sun set, so I did.

I had a fantastic wedding shoot as 2nd shooter today with a great photographer
Inbal More. As 2nd shooter I was privileged to sneak in some "fun" shots from time to time, well all are fun. Congratulations Jessica and Robert, may your life together be full of joy and wonder.
Tonemapped from a single image.
Marigold flowers in full bloom on the deck.
Yesterday was planting day, potting plants and weeding, today enjoying the carpet of color with an afternoon espresso.
Small World, this is my daughters Hot Wheels car. I Placed the car on a wooden Platform and with a LED flash Light, lit the background image, which is a page from a Photo Book. I tried different aperture setting and shutter speeds until I was happy with the result. Real, but not real...Fun.
Last day on the Island, enjoying a stormy day on the beach, wind spray and sand. Hard to turn you back on the ocean, and head inland. This shot just draws you in, I was hoping for a better swell, my surfboard was screaming bloody murder in the car. might head back in September, when its rolling, until then...
School Starts, back to the grind. This year R starts 1st grade, and just day 41 of 365.
Good Luck little ones.
While doing a speaker product shot I decided to have fun and break the rules again. The product shot went well and will post it tomorrow. It was this shot that spoke in sound to me, hope you enjoy it.
Set up: Fairly simple, a strong mag light pointing forward between the speakers and F stop at 20, gave these bright light rays.
Best seat in the house.
A couple of early cancelations, and a mid day meeting, 2 hour window of freedom, and I am out the door. Headed out to Seneca park for a walk on Lake shore and Mink Hollow trails, it was an amazing day blue sky, great sun and a blistering cold wind. After the walk I had to sit here for a bit soaking in this winter sun. For a moment I felt I was back on the beach, so this was the moment of the day and the highlight.
I drive by this building everyday, this time i stopped. Sometimes the mundane is mundane at all.
Needed a slightly overcast day to get it to pop. Hope i did it justice.

Good Morning world !
Now thats how to start a day, Taking that warm glow with me through winter, may it last till spring, when once again I will be re united with the Big Blue.
“ensō ,” the Japanese word for circle, which is one of the most important concepts and symbols in the Zen school of Buddhism. In Western terms, it’s “what goes around comes around.” There is a beginning to life, where the brush first touches the paper and an end, where the brush leaves the paper. This beginning and end continue one after the other, thereby signifying the wheel of birth, death and rebirth. This correlation can be repeated in the revolution of the wheels of a bicycle, and that special place you find when in the moment and all else is but a blur. Such is the space within that circle, it is the emptiness, or the void, the understanding of which lies at the heart of Zen and the experience of which is the goal of meditation.

End of a day, and almost home.
In days these trees will be full of flowers and leaves, so catching their bare branches for the last time this season.
As much as I count the seconds for spring, the winter light, through bare trees is always inspiring.
Fall is here, what a contrast to hot Israel, love the crisp air and fall colors, but so miss the feel of warm sand and the blue ocean.
"As above, so below" The significance of this phrase is that it is believed to hold the key to all mysteries.
Found on the Emerald Tablet inscribing Hermes Trismegistus teachings, and earlier in Kabbalistic teaching, such as what ever transpires in "heaven" has a corresponding effect on "earth".
Sadly the opposite is true as well.

Is this the best you got? well..no (not in drink or photo) this coke is sweeter then the US version. After a day shooting family birthday party photos, (Happy7th B-Day R Girl) this coke resting on the weekend newspapers was refreshing and crisp, both to drink and shoot.
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” Albert Einstein.
And as my Drill Sergeant would add to that quote in a whisper... And know how and when to bend them (the rules). When all else fails then, Fight for it!
Nothing is free... Nothing.
The girls played well today, (my daughter in blue) and they didn't break any rules, No drill Sergeant, just me with a camera.
BTW, she took control of the ball, and made a goal of it...but it was this moment that I could see in her the determination to make that move. Go Dolphins!
Not Irish as far as I know, but in the spirit and all in for going green. Cheers to those of you out partying, I raise my cam in a toast to you.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all.
Day 30, Aperture: The hole or an opening through which light travels
30 days in to Project 365, time for a day of reflection.
...shortest route between two points.
A simple view from sugerloaf Mountain.
No sunset or peaking rays of sun, just gentle rolling hills from a birds eye view.
I was looking for inspiration all day, and I know its around me...its just that I wasn't ready to see it.
I had been doing my daily Ashtanga Yoga practice, but let it go over the past 2 months,
so here is my reminder to get back with with it. Namaste

Knee to waist high, long perfect sets. Bright smiles, even in small waves, and oh yeah a perfect sunrise.
iPhone 4 basking in light. Guarded by the grand Mac above, snug and cozy in its new leather SGP Case, Not the best phone out there, but the one you love the most. May the music never stop.
Rock on.
Hiking back out from the Billy Goat trail this evening the light was just right to try some long exposures on this little stream.
Ending the day on a trail as all becomes quite, but the wonderful sound of a cold stream is priceless. Hope to share that quite moment here.

for day 195, I decided to give my camera its time in the lime light. Snugly fit into the Vanguard tripod, fit today with a Canon EF-S zoom lens - 17 mm - 85 mm, a Cokin P Series - Filter Holder, and ND Grad Filter.
I shot this out in the snow, ( see upper right corner of filter) and upped the exposure to blow out the background.
The longest day of the year, and the beginning of summer.
I remember how excited I was when summer would start, I can see that same twinkle in my kids eyes today.
So for all kids and those kids at heart, I wish you all a fantastic summer
I set out for a afternoon hike on the Billy Goat Trail, hoping to get some shots of the rocks and cliffs, but this brook called my name, and a second go at slow water motion was on. Another hiker on the trail heard the sounds calling her to Natures spa for a moment of renewal. Got my shot, and new friend, here's to Nature, it Rocks!
My Daughters Hippo joined me while i was shooting, we just sat there sharing a moment, then she smiled... and I clicked.
This shot was good without me in it, but walking in the frame just made it look to me a bit more movie like. I might post another without me, just for the fun of it. But this is todays shot, day 132 in the books. Living in a movie.
The Enola Gay B-29 Superfortress, serial number 44-86292, victor number 82.
On August 6 1945, during the final stages of WWII, it became the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb as a weapon of war. The Enola Gay is restored and on display at the The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (Part of the National Air & Space Museum DC).
Windy cold night here in DC and the full moon was out in all its glory. Heading out to the Lincoln Memorial at night is always exciting, no matter how many times I visit this memorial. Tonight the memorial was decorated with flowers in preparation for presidents day on Monday, So I felt it fitting to have Abraham Lincoln grace this project set.
