This shot was good without me in it, but walking in the frame just made it look to me a bit more movie like. I might post another without me, just for the fun of it. But this is todays shot, day 132 in the books. Living in a movie.

The Enola Gay B-29 Superfortress, serial number 44-86292, victor number 82.

On August 6 1945, during the final stages of WWII, it became the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb as a weapon of war. The Enola Gay is restored and on display at the The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (Part of the National Air & Space Museum DC).

Windy cold night here in DC and the full moon was out in all its glory. Heading out to the Lincoln Memorial at night is always exciting, no matter how many times I visit this memorial. Tonight the memorial was decorated with flowers in preparation for presidents day on Monday, So I felt it fitting to have Abraham Lincoln grace this project set.

When the spirits speak, I listen.

Never opened this bottle, but I listen to it at times. It was to cold and windy this evening to go shoot outside, so I just listened to the blue spirits and relaxed. Day 203 in the books.

Set out on a short walk around Seneca after our first snow flurry. It was beautiful and quite. This moss patch is a favorite spot of mine and lends a nice view across the lake. Today I was focusing on bracketing my shots, and choosing those views without much movement, until I got to cold and headed back to the car.

This is my younger daughters elephant, and companion to Hippo my older daughters. Hippo & elephant, like sister are always together, even on Flickr.

Please enjoy a Large View On White

the view from the Virginia side, looking up the Potomac River.

I was reminded today, living here one can at times take these majestic views for granted, not today.

This area around Great Falls served as a meeting place for Native Americans, especially members of the Powhatan Confederacy and the Iroquois Nation.

Every year I place a 6pack of Samuel Adams Octoberfest down in my basement, to rest until there is no more Octoberfest to be found. On a cold dark night in winter it starts to glow. My precious ! Cheers.

Its Friday, and we are blessed with yet another day of warm weather. I headed out this time for section B of the good old Billy Goat trail, which my dad suggested. I found this nice little brook in the shade and decided to shoot some slow water (longer exposure to blur the water)

All in all a great day on the trail, made more so by sharing a cliff for lunch and coffee, with two cool lovely ladies.

Enjoy your weekend

Last day in Tel Aviv, fitting to watch the sunset here, was a wonderful afternoon and got to meet another photographer, and fellow Flickr member, check his Photo stream out here: www.flickr.com/photos/dbx60/

Now Jet Lag.

Tel Baruch Beach Tel Aviv, We had a great time at the beach today, was so good to be in the warm water of the med once again. We had lunch at a sea side cafe, Cachol (Blue) where we watched the Kite Surfers catch the afternoon winds.

I caught this one after the shoot, Loved the light and look.

30 days left in this amazing project, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Shedding some light here on the next project down the line, portraiture.

I was the last one out of the pool tonight, as I walked back from the pool I looked back... I had to stand for a moment, remembering those warm summer nights in my home town, sneaking into the pool for a night swim with that special someone. Septembers coming soon, the pool will close the leaves will turn and fall, the water will freeze, and I seized the moment, and enjoyed another night swim. its this song that takes me right back to my high school years in my home town so far away, and now its a photograph reflecting that time. 2nd day of wedding celebrations, Amazing time, beautiful happy people and plenty of bitter lemon. Had fun shooting when the girls where on a break from my shoulders, feet are tired and happy.

Walked down to the creek as the wonderful sounds of the saturated bubbling stream drenched my ears. A time of quite and stillness before the rain returned.

This has been a spiritual week for me, re connecting with self in a way. At the river banks the sunset eluded me today with heavy clouds closing in, and I found myself here, back at the Enlightenment Stupa. Its customary to walk clockwise around a stupa, wishing or prying for the benefit of all those, including oneself, who are suffering, I circled the stupa.

The Kunzang Palyul Choling temple is a welcoming place for all regardless of religion. This temple is a sacred space for meditation and prayer always available for those who seek it

This shot was to show the other side of this amazing pocket watch, which was handed down to me by my grandfather. Thats me in his lap going on a far away adventure in a word window.

Sunset at the marina

Late afternoon cycling on the C&O Canal.

After a nice sunset late lunch early dinner, waiting for the golden hour, I walked down to the Potomac river bank and shot a fly fisherman doing his thing, which I found uneventful. Near where my feet were planted there was a burst of fire works...so small, and un noticed... Snap!

Morning light spreading softly over snow covered deck, is it the last snow?

Walking at night in downtown bethesda, this chic window front mannequin caught my eye, and then my lens.

Back late, was hoping for a sunset, but there were no clouds, drove around looking for inspiration, and ran low on gas. Stopped at the Shell station, set up quick and took a couple of shots, forgot to fill up gas, at least I got a shot.

Spreading my arms, inhaling, wishing i could fly.

What can I say, it was hot!

Three dare devils checking the Ice, the only one with 2 feet on dry land is my dog.

We all had a fun time exploring the stream as the snow fell.

Dont worry, this pussy is fixed.

Edmonia Lewis's white marble statue of the death of Cleopatra. Created for an 1876 exhibition in America. It was lost for nearly a century.

Smithsonian American Art Museum, in Washington D.C.

"...Cleopatra sent to Caesar a letter which she had written and sealed; and, putting everybody out of the monument but her two women, she shut the doors. Caesar, opening her letter, and finding pathetic prayers and entreaties that she might be buried in the same tomb with Antony, soon guessed what was doing. At first he was going himself in all haste, but, changing his mind, he sent others to see. The thing had been quickly done. The messengers came at full speed, and found the guards apprehensive of nothing; but on opening the doors, they saw her stone-dead, lying upon a bed of gold, set out in all her royal ornaments. Iras, one of her women, lay dying at her feet, and Charmion, just ready to fall, scarce able to hold up her head, was adjusting her mistress's diadem. And when one that came in said angrily, 'Was this well done of your lady, Charmion?' 'Extremely well,' she answered, 'and as became the descendant of so many kings'; and as she said this, she fell down dead by the bedside."

Sunday afternoon, the joy of be a child, and the amazing gift of enjoying it once more with them.

Joy in simple things, and for sure a time of wonder.

Sitting outside Brooklyn’s Deli where they are slicing that amazing house-made pastrami and corned beef, why did I walk into Starbucks? ah choices. I did enjoy the warm light inside, as the light outside fades to black, snap.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Robert Frost: The Road Not Taken (1915)

Not what Robert Frost was looking at, when writing this, but still...

The Frozen Pond at the end of the walk is a quite place, and the catcher of the days last rays.

This is the 150th day of this project, the camera is at times a pleasant extension of me and at times cumbersome and heavy even before touching it. Slowing down every day for a moment or two to get a shot and to look for beauty is a gift... Priceless.

One of the first bracketed sets once arriving at the banks of the river.

Beautiful Sky, great wind... but the ocean was flat as a pancake with occasional mounds of butter.
