The shadow is longer now, and only 65 days left in this amazing Project 365. Again waiting for the last minute to get a shot, the camera has been heavy lately. I have learned so much in these past 300 days, yet still know there is an ocean of a way to go, and loving it. Where this leads, who knows but one things for sure, I will always have a camera with me.
Some offices take coffee seriously, but in the end its not about the machine, but the Bean. Getting rid of cold white office light without getting the milk to yellow, can be an art form.
I'd stop drinking coffee, but I'm no quitter. ~Author Unknown
The beautiful white iPhone joins the family of apple toys in our home, and fit right in.
Long days, glad friday is around the corner I so need the weekend, even if its going to be a short one.
Reaching the ocean, on a wind and rain swept day, but happy to reunite with the Atlantic once again. Holding the camera at arms length and spinning fast as I clicked.

Summer is coming to an end. Late night coffee and drive, I notice a cool water fountain, we stop and enjoy the falling water, kids play, daddy shoots, day 31 in the books... night shot, slow water and its a Friday. Enjoy your weekend wherever you are.
Spring Fever here, I am so ready for those blooming colors.
My Birthday flowers now grace this 365 Project.
The contrast of color, and absence of it, on the human/statue face intrigued me here.

Flight map, my Grandfathers Military Binoculars, my other Grandfathers cigar box and my SBL wallet, all timeless and all treasures. Cheers ! to capturing time in a photo, like a small timeless treasure in a cigar box.
Limoncello, Villa Massa
Late afternoon in the shade on the deck, a quite moment, perfect for a limoncello shoot and shot.
Cheers ;)
The smell of coffee, music, a good friend, and the sound of dice rolling on wood, such moments are timeless and have been repeated over many a century.
Day 154 in the books.
Already seen, or maybe just a dream.
This dock reminds me of my grandparents dock, where i used to run down to reach the sea. Walking behind my kids feeling the wood move from their little feet...and I time travel, back in time.
Ending the weekend with a sunset, at Schaeffer Farms. I hope that was the last time I get so cold while getting a shot for this 365 Project, enough... its spring time.
On the way back from shooting a sunset, I had to stop and catch another shot of the great winter sky, before the full moon took the throne once again.
A fictional world, or is it?
Something different today, using the virtual world Second Life camera, I snapped 5 captures at different times of day, and sky settings. Using Photomatix, tonemapped them together and played around to give it a more realistic feel. Not that is was lacking that feel, but just my own twist on it.
Hiking on the Billy Goat Trail, one is offered some great vistas, but I cant help smiling bright as the sound of perpetual thunder comes from above as these guys fly overhead.

Day 25, the DSLR takes a rest day. Set out for a bike ride with the Cannondale Capo Singlespeed and my better half (she rides a Specialized Allez) . Not intending it to be a Photographic apex but a slice of life in the 365 day project, kinda like the slice of lime in my beer, keeps it fresh.
Fighting the Potomac current, and winning.
While perched up on the cliff, off the billy goat trail I watched as a Kayaker paddled up the Potomac river. 10min later I heard a loud yell from up the gorge, then some minutes later I noticed the green Kayak come down with out the paddler. Not seeing or hearing the kayaker I called it in, but luckily as I was speaking with 911, I noticed the paddler running up on the opposite bank, I pointed to the location of his Kayak notified the dispatcher all is well and watched as this paddler united with his Kayak, alls well that ends well just a tad cold.
It was such a nice warm day, almost summer like. Sun warm breeze, and a cold melon for lunch, Perfection. Capture a simple pleasure, and a color shift in the season. Tone mapped, HDR sun kissed mellon.
It was such a day, great fun with the kids and grandparents, then we stole away for a hike down the desolate south of the island shore for a couple of kidless hours. As we walked back, a rumble of thunder, it wasn't from the heavens, but from below...you could feel it in the soft warm sand, galloping horses on the dunes, now thats a 365 picture moment. I grabbed the point and shoot for this one, couldn't get my DSLR ready in time.
The 'Receiving of Shabbat" is a mystical ritual and tradition designed to welcome the Shabbat (Sabbath) which is the celebration of the act of completion of creation. We welcome the shabbat bride/queen called the Shekinah, meaning "dwelling" which is seen as an aspect of god representing his creative and nurturing nature, and she represents the dynamic forces that move throughout the universe. (she, as in feminine aspect, and Shekinah in hebrew is a feminine word, and one of the names of god) she can be compared in understanding to the Shakti of Indian philosophy and the Yin of Taoist belief.
(this is but a foot note and personal connection to my family tradition not meant as religious pov, but one of tradition and beauty I chose to share in this 365 project)
Kol Nidre is an Aramaic declaration recited in the synagogue before the beginning of the evening service on every Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Not wanting to incite a debate about religion or views, this verse has ben taking out of context at times in history but to me is a beauty which i try to express in a photo. Kol Nidre is a beautiful passage, one of musical, mystic, tradition and a childhood memory. If one is inclined to listen, I am attaching the you tube clip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PopzXbvXmJ4

You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born"

Funny when it comes to song about fathers and daughters I am all country.
While visiting from abroad my father-in-law introduced me to this fine Vincent Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka. He hit the spot! This is some freaking good vodka, I just have to remember its not a regular Espresso shot, this could be dangerous.
Tel Aviv's old port, renewed to a trendy hangout with coffee shops, clubs restaurants and upscale shopping coming to life as the sun sets on a quite Friday. It is here back in 91 where we would set out in small boats for early morning dives. Now a fave hangout on every visit.
Overcast photo shoot fun. The diffused gray light today was a good opportunity to try another car shot. This time on top of a parking garage.
3 shots tone mapped for this image.
Thanx to Sabrina and Nadege for the insight on Png images for the logo.
As for the Logo, No affiliation with BMW here, and no commercial intent with the use of the BMW logo, ... but it is a Fine Driving Machine. ;)
