Re posting, this image, which mysteriously disappeared while in Explore on Flickr.
This was a shot taken last month, on a sunny cold late February day. Shooting nature with a 24mm tilt shift lens was a learning experience, cant wait to try it out again.

The perfect lunch. Fresh bread, olives, grapes, brie, vino and a crackling fire.

For tonights shot, I wanted to do something like the "Lacoste Style, day 119" shoot. (which can be seen here: flic.kr/p/8U3hEH ) I wanted to give a feel and tell a story with the photo. Had a regular dim light in front of me and a led flashlight pointing up, to give a slight feel of the control panel. Guess i really do miss flying.
100 Days to go. Couldn't find a shot till late at night, I think in the end I got it.
Flash light in the sea shell. Not a bad idea for mood lighting.
As the sun sets, the last kite surfing session of the day, and the last day at the beach, then back over the big blue puddle
Day 89, in the books.
2nd week of Photography school is in the books, and I am loving it. While walking around the old streets in Georgetown I found this interesting wall, that gifted me a fun reflection from the old thick windows of the neighboring historic structure. As I clicked I knew I wanted it up on my wall, week 28 of this project is done.
Bring on the weekend, I am ready for it.

Again waiting for the last minute to shoot.
This time like a deer in the head lights, was my daughters bike, both my girls learned to ride on this glider bike. I always loved the wood, its simple design and function, a timeless keeper.
My little Whirling Dervishes performed for me this afternoon, it was a great moment, afternoon light catching in their red dresses. I might add a couple more, tomorrow. Late night time to sleep.
Kitchen photography fun, looking for clean lines, form & function. It was a great learning experience, choosing a room and creating some shots. Textures, Diptych and composition, make for a perfectly timed toast.
Shacharit (morning prayers) 30.000ft
Mostly its no problem, but this flight they where 90+% of the flight so the constant movement, prayers and repetitive opening and closing of overhead compartments was crazy for a 10h flight. I must say the cabin crew had to work so hard to get them to comply with basic safety issues, and staying seated. So i ask, what makes a man righteous, is it the cadence he moves while in prayer? the clothing he wears, or is it how one reacts and interacts with fellow man that makes one Righteous.
Dahlgren Hall at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis MD.
Established in 1845 under George Bancroft, it is the second-oldest of the United States' five service academies, and educates officers for commissioning primarily into the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hall was constructed Constructed in 1903
""named after John A.B. Dahlgren, known as the ‘‘Father of Naval Ordnance.” Flagg’s design for Dahlgren Hall is characteristic of the aesthetics of his classic French style and at first glance appears to mimic the design of 19th century European train stations. The large, utilitarian design of the building was meant to reflect its intended purpose as an armory, and the interior was left intentionally bare with exposed metal trusses and large, imposing metal gates. The overall effect was meant to convey the themes of naval supremacy popularized by Alfred T. Mahan’s groundbreaking ideas of the era."" Historic Building Series: Dahlgren Hall www.usna. com

Had to post this second version, the light was great and the model was, how should I say...compliant.
The highlight of the day was a cold beer, and a good one, rich in both history and color.
Using natural light, and hand held, I tried to express the simple joy of the moment, while catching the light.
Cheers!
Today its a watery diptych, the late afternoon was spent in the pool. I really wanted to photograph my daughter swimming and jumping, but the pull of friends in the pool was to grate, I stepped back and snapped some shots as they all played.
I used collage creator (a mac app) to create the diptych, but it doesn't keep the original quality of the image it seems.
A later shot taken from a slightly higher vantage point for more water reflection.

When I was a kid I had a tricycle, now its a new world. I told my daughter to be home by 5pm or she is grounded!
On our deck sharing the left over breakfast with our new found friends. Multi tasking for this shot, holding the cracker with the left , shooting with right, and chewing. It was a great start to the day.

Triumph! Day 100, still a long way to go, but a milestone for me.
Not every day is a wow shot, not every day am I excited to shoot, but every day, I hold my cam, look through the viewfinder, and click the shutter, getting to know my camera, lenses and how mundane things become most interesting. For those of you Following this Project, thank you for your comments remarks and critiques.
