The last steam engine built for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1944. It is still in active service today.
I saw this tree growing up through the engine block of an abandoned car on east 6th Street in Austin, TX.
Apparently last used in 1906, it used to be stabled at the Dinton fire station (apparently they had one, once).
BNSF Train Engines at the Oklahoma City, N. Santa Fe Yard. I'm Guessing they brought them up from Texas to keep out of the flooded areas durning the hurricane.
These engines are low-detailed stand-ins for the real thing. Enterprise was never outfitted with real Space Shuttle Main Engines.

People wonder why engines fail! This could be one reason.
I visited the mechanical workshop of a good friend, and at that moment he was servicing a BMW (?I think, can't recall exactly!)
This was the replacing of the air filter; the upper one, being surprisingly filthy.
The lower, pristine one being the replacement.
I would venture to say that the dirty air filter has been in situ way longer than the recommended replacement period. This is years worth of dirt accumulation.
SERVICE your car regularly and it will, undoubtedly, last longer :-)
