BNSF Train Engines at the Oklahoma City, N. Santa Fe Yard. I'm Guessing they brought them up from Texas to keep out of the flooded areas durning the hurricane.

New 80 amp alternator fitted to engine with new fan belt.

Told you I liked doing it. This one is an old Fokker 100. I think. It was quite a while ago.

Engine 3 on scene of a multi-car accident south of Valpo. Engine 3 and Rescue 3 both responded.

The beautifully cast and machined aluminum cylinder block from a Porsche 944. This will be the basis of my car's new engine. It is an M44/08 casting from 1988, and will put out about 200 horsepower when rebuilt and installed in my car.

Chevrons now up on the rear doors, the side panels... for another day.

 

Rear flashers now Whelen 700 Super LED heads, replacing the dual-color Tomar light heads.

They appear to be engine exhaust trails partly initialed by decompression at the tail tips but that is an illusion.

The smallest steam engine in 1876. It is quite impressive at how small it is.

The Largest Mechanical Puppet ever constructed in Britain

 

Built to mark the 10th anniversary of The Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site, the Man Engine celebrates Cornish Miners by taking their story on a tour of Britain. An international tour is being planned for 2019 to take the Man Engine to wherever Cornish Miners went.

I tried to get a shot while he was on the ladder, but every time, he would be behind a post, and after I moved to get a clear view, he would be down the ladder already. Oh well, can't win them all.

Shortly after ignition, one of the engines had a major failure that blew a big chunk out of the the fin can, as seen here. This in turn caused some flight instability as well as aerodynamic drag. The rocket only made it to about a third of its expected altitude, but it gave a really cool smoke trail.

Guy even had neon in the engine compartment. Note NOS injection setup.
