This is the last engine to serve as Engine 154

A fine oscillatory steam engine ,spirit fired with safety valve , whistle and regulator valve. The boiler side plates appear to come from a Bowman model but the engine with its displacement lubricator and brass flywheel do not look like any commercial model I have seen.

Enterprise never had any engines; the fairing here is for aerodynamic purposes during ferry flights and, latterly, for aesthetic purposes during display.

This was one of my favorites from this morning at Magic Kingdom. I really love Main Street and love spending time there. I got this one in Town Square of some of the great blooms hanging from the lightposts. I was really happy I had another chance to get back to Main Street for some shooting. :) Enjoy!

A recently restored beam engine is displayed in this magnificent museum at Markfield Park, N15 4 RB, North London. It is within 50 yards of the River Lea and was used in conjunction with the nearby filter beds. A new cafe "Pistachios" is on the right.

Mounted on engine stand, this is the exhaust manifold side of the block.

Just some facts:

This engine drives one of the steepest trains in the world,it has declared as a world heritage by the UN guys. The train shuttles bw Metupallayam to Ooty.

It seems that diesel engine doesn;t have enough power to drive the steep train so a old steam engine is still being used.
