Art Agency sold more than 100 bowls at their annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on April 17, 2019 and raised over $1,000 to benefit Paul’s Pantry. Each bowl was hand made by students and sold with soup and chilli donated for the event.

For various reason these last few years we haven't got to the beach until June or even July, despite living so close. So we made a family resolution to go a bit earlier this year - and our reward for most of our walk was an empty beach, seals and Moominmamma practicing her silkie moves when the waves came in too far :-)

I've been a bit busy lately so not much time for photography, but after this week I should have more free time.
last episode of stories (recorded yesterday) is emphasizing emptiness. it's usually not a feeling im very familiar with or like for that matter. but tonight.. i have my battery for my camera, tripod, time, empty(!) memory card and... nothing i really wanna shoot..
Pripyat, Ukraine, is the town closest to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which experienced a catastrophic meltdown in 1986. Only 3 km away, Pripyat was home to 49,000 residents before the disaster, mostly the families of the plant workers. High radiation levels forced the evacuation of more than 100,000 people from the region surrounding Chernobyl, but although about 700 residents have since returned to live in the region, none have reoccupied the actual town of Pripyat.
Pripyat is a freeze-frame of 1980s Soviet life. Propaganda slogans still hang on walls, and children's toys and other items remain as they were. But buildings are rotting, paint is peeling and looters have taken away anything that might have been of value. Trees and grass are eerily reclaiming the land.
