Boats sit empty at dawn along the flooded Ganges River.

Varanasi - July, 2008

I'm not going to lie. Actually, I sell myself on my integrity - well - I try to. And these past few days, or what seems more like months now, I've just been feeling so empty (oh God, this sounds like a horrible journal entry). All I know is I'm full of doubt and for the first time I just feel so, so false, and all it does is make me feel -

Empty.

Sidenote- this was inspired by a few photographers (Jacob Robert Price, Evan Booth), because everything I do seems to be an amalgamation of anything I've ever seen. And maybe that's life. Or maybe it's my period. But hey, THAT is life.

from sudden thoughts, prayer beads and hard nights

To understand what I'm about to say, you may:

1. Suffer the deafening fatigue that ends up sheltering in you senses after carrying it so such a long time, as a winter cold.

2. Feel the pain of lead splinters in your eyelids, that turn your brain into pepper red little by little.

3. Suit your back discs so sticked as those puff pastry apple strudel leaves you've never had time to eat, or even cook.

4. Boil your cheeks blood vessels into the frost, as if you hadn't seen the weather forecast on that old newspaper from the day before.

5. Forget, just for a second, that you are part of that human relationship necklace it's been so hard to get, the one you go over and over day by day expecting to be exonerated.

Next act, 6. Convince yourself you are the island you are not, but this is not up to me to say. [check this out]

7. Wait until night, of course. If it's one of those nights when not even the moon wanted to invite herself, better! The drizzle is always a welcome plus.

8. Have this sweet song in mind. Full of reality and everyday magic .

9. Walk. Yes, yes. The simple act of putting a foot in-front of the other in a consecutive way, with convenient rhythm and distances.

Well... now, while you walk without feeling your moving, remember the most important step: 10. Stop looking outside that much, you are getting empty.
