Handbuilt Ceramic Mask

Title: "Emptiness"

Dimensions: 7" H X 6 1/4" W

Description:

What a wonderful mask this is!

On a black background, bits of imagery depict the feeling of emptiness and loneliness.

There is an empty bottle, a Dear John letter, an empty chair, a table with an empty glass and dish, as well as empty cupboards... and tears in his eyes...

This mask is ready to be hung on the wall or it can be placed on a shelf or table.

It is made of white earthenware.

I have started a collection of masks and just love it!

Why not add this mask to your collection or start a collection!

My name and the title are signed on the back.

An empty westbound coal train approaches Greensburg on a sunny winter afternoon.

(This is a reprise of a shot I took last winter; improved...hopefully...my processing a bit.)

Our old crappy kitchen, emptied out and ready to be demolished!

Empty ancient bowl in a still life setting.

My mum left me a few things to take with me if I want. Strangely, they've taken cutlery, mugs and glasses but left all the plates and bowls until tomorrow.

14/11/09 is my last night in this house. Mum and her husband have already gone, leaving most of the house empty. They're taking more tomorrow. I move tomorrow to a room in a shared house, though still in Stevenage. I may be without Interenet access.

Empied my bag because this morning in the bus when i drove around a very bendy roundabout my coke fell over and even though it landed in a vertical position, was upside down and succeeding in making the bottom of my bag drink nearly the whole can, so I decided to snap this premature baby, usually get loads more than this out of a bag, got the bag before this one to empty and shoot but it'll have to wait i get a day off, and hopefully before the hot weather comes

Keep most of my stuff in my pockets anyway

empty chairs are one of my favorite subjects. and i liked these colors.

no way i positioned those chairs...how dare you accuse me!?

Empty chairs slowly rotating past the treetops. It was almost eerie in a way. (148)

L1004420 - Empty table at a restaurant. The table was full five minutes before. It was quickly cleaned up. And it was full again a few minutes later. Dinner was great, and I could not pass up the few moments when no one was in sight. The overhead lights, the texture on the wall, and the glass on the table playing a nice effect.

There's nothing quite like living on a halfway shut military base. In it's heyday, Richards-Gebaur was a busy place. I've seen pictures, and the number of houses tells you that it used to be full of people. But it's been shut and partially reopened many times over the years, and it's currently being shut down again. Or part of it is. Most of the time, you don't notice it. But if you drive certain streets, it's a little eerie to to see all those old, empty houses. It already feels surreal to me, so I figured I'd just add to that. ;D

Walking down the streets of my town the other night, I found that the folks in Apt. 5 have moved out. Just an FYI. Don't send them any mail...

Emptiness to be fulfilled

Empty bike racks at the North Avenue and Milwaukee/Damen Blue Line station on Chicago's L.

Odd, compared to the extreme number of bikes I saw at another station less than a year earlier.
