Just toying with an Autochrome effect. The Autochrome process had become obsolete when Kodachrome film was introduced in the Thirties.

This is a dressy sequined silk and kid mohair version of the Mesmer Tunisian Veil crochet pattern that I'm immensely pleased to be publishing this month.
The Mesmer Veils are fast and easy Tunisian crochet lace. Although this design is a fun way to combine scrap yarns, I designed it to make fancy, pricy yarns last longer.

Mesmer I is the first of three versions. This one is styled as a fringed scarf.

Mesmer III, a.k.a. Tunisian Mist, is a hand dyed tonal teal silk and mohair stole; I'm testing a vest option for it right now. Mesmer II, a.k.a. Marshmallow, is a test of craft store yarns: crochet thread and crinkled bamboo. (I like it ruffled.)
Fish-eye effect was acheived using an ultra-wide 12-24mm lens on a film camera
Skylights appear in right of photo due to photographer not being parallel to subject matter. This would have been better had I laid on the floor and taken photo straight on Had I done that I'd still be laying prone on the rotunda floor.
