El silencio que han dejado tras de si los que ya no están y la incredulidad que invade a los que aún no se han ido, forman una débil línea que desdibuja los límites entre lo real y lo deseado.

También regresa el pasado en esas dos niñas que corren cogidas de la mano en una mañana gélida de invierno camino del colegio. En los maestros que soñaron con una escuela pública diferente a principios del siglo XX. Lo imposible también está en la libertad convertida en delito por todas las dictaduras.

Pero por encima de todo está la amistad, la que nunca termina porque, como dice el niño polizón de La isla deshabitada: “sólo los que han tenido un amigo saben que ni siquiera la muerte es capaz de desbaratar lo que con tanto esfuerzo se va construyendo a lo largo de una vida”. Nada destruye lo que es verdadero, por eso Los dos amigos, regresan cada año al mismo lugar, junto al puerto, allí donde el mar chasquea suavemente en las rocas. Pero también importa el presente y está en ese adolescente que corre angustiado por el Paseo Marítimo buscando a su abuela desaparecida, sumergida en el mar revuelto de sus recuerdos.

El silencio perturbado no es silencio, es la voz que regresa de todos los que una vez vivieron intensamente. Con este libro de relatos, Isabel Mª Abellán ganó el III Premio Internacional Vivendia de Relato.

Isabel Mª Abellán (Cartagena, 1962) se presentó como escritora con la novela La línea del horizonte. Ha participado en las antologías El corazón delator y 13 para el 21. "he Saab 900 is a compact luxury automobile which was produced by Saab from 1978 until 1998 in two generations.

 

The first generation from 1978 to 1993 is known as the "classic" and the generation from 1994 to 1998 is known as the "new generation".

 

The "classic" Saab 900 was based on the Saab 99 chassis, though with a longer front end to meet U.S. frontal crash regulations.

 

The 900 was produced in 2- and 4-door sedan, and 3- and 5-door hatchback configurations and, from 1986, as a cabriolet (convertible) model.

There were single- and twin-Zenith carburettor, fuel-injection, and turbocharged engines, including both Full Pressure Turbo (FPT), and, in European models during the early 1990s, Light Pressure Turbos (LPT)."

"The BMW 2002 was first introduced in 1968, becoming the first ever sports sedan. For the first time, a practical car could be fun. The large trunk and 4 seat layout made the car practical, but the 2 liter engine and fantastic suspension made the car performance oriented at the same time. After the second World War, companies such as BMW were struggling to stay in business. When the 2002 was introduced, little did BMW know that they would sell over 800,000 units. In 1976, when 2002 produced was stopped, a car known as the 3-series would take its place, based off of the same sports sedan platform. Over 40 years later, these cars are still on the road and have achieved somewhat of a cult status."

"The year 1974 saw major changes in the 2002 series. In order to comply with U.S. Safety regulations, all 2002's were fitted with large impact bumpers and new square taillights. Other minor changes included new plastic grills, as well badging changes in the rear decklid. Interior changes were also minimal.

1974 also saw the production of the 2002 turbo. The 2002 turbo is considered to be the ultimate 2002, with large flares, and decals to match the performance of the 170 bhp turbocharged engine. BMW 8 Series (1989)

 

"(...) The BMW 850i presented at the 1989 International Motor Show in Frankfurt represented a demonstration of the Munich-based carmaker's development expertise, revealing not only a cutting-edge new design line but also an unparalleled array of technological details making their automotive debuts.

The design of the wedge-shaped body - headlined most strikingly by a long, swooping bonnet (housing retractable headlights), smooth lines, the absence of B-pillars and a steeply cut rear end - showcased the dynamics and grace of the new coupe with equal élan.

 

The BMW 850i, moreover, followed the BMW 750i luxury Sedan introduced two years earlier as the second post-war German car to be powered by a 12-cylinder engine.

The 5.0-litre unit developed 220 kW/300 hp and peak torque of 450 Newton metres (332 lb-ft) to propel the 1,790 kg 2+2-seater from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds.

 

Channelling the engine's power to the rear wheels was either a six-speed manual gearbox specially developed for the BMW 850i or a four-speed automatic, while its pioneering integral rear axle with five-link suspension was celebrating its premiere in the luxury Coupe. Automatic Stability Control plus Traction (ASC+T), speed-sensitive power steering and the Electronic Damper Control (EDC) system introduced as an option in spring 1990 were among the other details that helped give the BMW 8 Series its distinctive identity as a driving machine.

The motoring press heralded the BMW 850i as a "coupe of velvet and silk" and the "perfect symbiosis of power and comfort". After its first road test in the car, German car magazine "auto, motor und sport" wrote: "BMW has given the 850i all the high-tech weaponry it needs to take top spot." And turning its attentions to the chassis technology of the BMW 8 Series, "Auto Bild" magazine commented: "It needs to be experienced to be believed, preferably through high-speed corners on the motorway: bumps, expansion joints - shocks that are sure to trigger sudden jolts of adrenaline in other cars - leave the 850i driver totally unruffled."

"he Saab 900 is a compact luxury automobile which was produced by Saab from 1978 until 1998 in two generations.

 

The first generation from 1978 to 1993 is known as the "classic" and the generation from 1994 to 1998 is known as the "new generation".

 

The "classic" Saab 900 was based on the Saab 99 chassis, though with a longer front end to meet U.S. frontal crash regulations.

 

The 900 was produced in 2- and 4-door sedan, and 3- and 5-door hatchback configurations and, from 1986, as a cabriolet (convertible) model.

There were single- and twin-Zenith carburettor, fuel-injection, and turbocharged engines, including both Full Pressure Turbo (FPT), and, in European models during the early 1990s, Light Pressure Turbos (LPT)."

This all-new 900 was produced in the 1994 through 1998 model years.

In Mid 1998 it received over 1100 individual improvements (although some were actually introduced on the 1998 model 900), and was renamed the Saab 9-3 (in most markets; in the US the name change was introduced for 1999).

As the 9-3, the NG900 was produced through 2002."

A Line Of Its Own

 

"September 20, 1940. The 1941 Lincoln Continental becomes its own car line.

 

The first Lincoln Continentals were produced on a limited run basis as an addition to the Zephyr line. Advertised as a Zephyr with the “flavor of European boulevards,” around 400 were built from October of 1939 to September of 1940. They were almost completely handmade (to fit the many custom requests) and offered extensive interior options.

 

Based on the overwhelming response by the public and critics alike, the Continental became its own line, available in coupe and cabriolet. Refinements for the 1941 models included pushbutton door controls, an electrically-powered convertible top replacing the previous vacuum system and a dash-located hood-release replacing the former rotating hood ornament.

 

Bob Gregorie, head of styling and design, placed a new hood ornament on the Continental – which he referred to as a "speared golf ball" – that accentuated the length of the hood nicely. The 1941 Continental’s low lines, large windows and sleek frame was inspired by Gregorie’s and Edsel Ford’s shared love for the ease of an ocean yacht. That inspiration lives on in current Lincoln vehicles."

El presente texto y los documentos que contiene dan cuenta del fracaso de la “guerra contra las drogas”, orientada por Estados Unidos, que comienza con la destrucción de los cultivos de coca en Bolivia de 1986, con ayuda de las fuerzas de combate estadounidense, hasta la implementación del Plan Colombia durante los últimos años.

 

Esta política ha traído como consecuencia la pérdida de numerosas vidas y de soberanía nacional, así como la deformación de la economía del país y de la ética, sin que el problema tenga luces de resolverse.

 

Carlos Bula y demás autores insisten ante Colombia y la comunidad internacional en que se haga un debate a fondo sobre la despenalización, con el fin de encontrar otro camino que permita superar el ineficiente trato militar de este problema, que debe verse como un tema de salud pública.
