He revisionado mis archivos de fotografía de este viaje a Escocia que hice hace no muchos años y no le había dedicado demasiado tiempo ya que, por error mío fueron todas hechas en formato Jpeg y las ediciones no salían como yo deseaba y tengo muchas.
Pero en la últimas versiones de Photoshop puedo editar este formato como si fuera RAW y esto ya es otra cosa.
Se trata de una de las tantas fotografías que tomé de Edimburgo desde las murallas del castillo que está situado en un promontorio cercano a la ciudad.
No es que sea una ciudad especialmente bonita, pero las vistas desde el castillo son fotogénicas.
En la edición no he tenido mas remedio que darle un poco de marcha pues la ciudad por sí misma es mayoritariamente gris. Lo mismo que su cielo.

I have reviewed my photo files of this trip to Scotland that I did not many years ago and I had not spent much time since, by mistake, they were all made in Jpeg format and the editions were not as I wanted and I have many.
But in the latest versions of Photoshop I can edit this format as if it were RAW and this is something else.
It is one of the many photographs I took of Edinburgh from the castle walls that is located on a promontory near the city.
It is not that it is an especially beautiful city, but the views from the castle are photogenic.
In the edition I had no choice but to give it some color because the city itself is mostly gray. The same as his sky.

Here you look into the Caldera de Taburiente, a National Park.
The island you see in the background is el Hierro.

As you explore Barcelona's Gothic Quarter you'll come across one of the city's best-kept secrets in a building on Carrer Paradís. Inside a small medieval courtyard, the four columns from the Temple of Augustus have survived despite the passing of the centuries. They are more than 2,000 years old, like Barcelona itself.
Zealously guarded by a medieval building, four temple columns bear witness to the magnificent origins of Barcelona in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Along with some fragments of the transept and its plinth, the columns are all that remains of the Temple of Augustus.

Ġgantija is a Neolithic, megalithic temple complex on the Mediterranean island of Gozo (in the village of Xaghra). The Ġgantija temples are the earliest of a series of megalithic temples in Malta. Their makers erected the two Ġgantija temples during the Neolithic Age (c. 3600-2500 BC), which makes these temples among the oldest megalithic monuments in the world, predating even the Giza pyramids in Egypt and England’s Stonehenge.
Together with other similar structures on Malta, these have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Megalithic Temples of Malta.

Wadi Bani Khalid is a wadi about 250 km from Muscat, Oman. It is the best-known wadi of the Sharqiyah region. Its stream maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Large pools of water and boulders are scattered along the course of the wadi.

Temps de Flors 2024, Girona.
Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.
Girona becomes a large urban garden with the arrival of Temps de Flors, a spring festival that this year 2024 will be celebrated from May 11 to 19, eight days to experience all the color and beauty of nature. As in all previous editions, the city is adorned with vivid floral arrangements that adorn emblematic buildings in the historic center and countless corners and squares, giving life to a spectacle that each year provides unrepeatable images.
The 69th edition of the Temps de Flors festival, an exhibition of flowers and plants in gardens, streets and monuments, returns in 2024, filling the city of Girona with its essence of spring delight and in contact with nature. In addition to streets, squares and staircases, interior spaces such as cloisters, the basement of the Cathedral or the Arab Baths, along with an endless number of usually private patios, will reopen their doors to welcome a dedicated public.
In total, this year you can see 109 floral installations spread across 12 Girona neighborhoods: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà and Vall de Sant Daniel. Some are made by professional gardeners, while others are the work of neighborhood associations and even students from schools and institutes.
Besalú is a beautiful medieval town situated 150 kilometers north of Barcelona in the region of La Garrotxa.

Perhaps the best known of this town, is the medieval bridge built in the XI century that runs above the river Fluviá, which sometimes carries water and sometimes not.
For years I have this photograph of the medieval bridge, but in my previous editions, I did not get to stay for my taste. Over the years, experience, and continuous learning, I finally achieved what I wanted, and I decided to share with you.

Besalú es una bellísima ciudad medieval situada a unos 150 kilómetros al norte de Barcelona en la comarca de La Garrotxa.
Muy bien conservado su aspecto medieval pues fue construida en el siglo X, es una delicia para el turista fotógrafo, pues está llena de rincones rústicos, casas antiguas construidas de piedra y callejones retorcidos y estrechos.
Quizá lo más conocido de esta ciudad sea el puente medieval construido en el siglo XI que discurre por encima del rio Fluviá, que a veces lleva agua y otras no.
Hace años que tengo esta fotografía del puente medieval, pero en mis anteriores ediciones, no conseguía que quedara a mi gusto. Con los años, la experiencia, y el aprendizaje continuo, al final me ha quedado como yo quería y me he decidido a compartirla con vosotros.

El Teatro Victoria Eugenia (en euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) es un teatro situado en la ciudad de San Sebastián (España). Obra del arquitecto Francisco de Urcola, fue inaugurado en 1912. It has been the scene of important releases of zarzuela and of all the editions of the San Sebastian International Film Festival until 1999, in which the theater was the scene of events such as the world premieres of the films Vertigo and With death on the heels of Alfred Hitchcock. Between 2001 and 2007 the deepest process of theater reform was carried out. Throughout its century of history it has been the epicenter of the cultural life of the city and has become one of the most active and important theaters in Spain.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater, of Neo-Renaissance Spanish and Neoplateresque style and whose main entrance is located on the Paseo de la República Argentina, occupies a total area of 2,400 m². While a large number of nineteenth-century buildings in San Sebastian are clearly influenced by France, the exterior of the building is inspired by the Monterrey Palace in Salamanca.On the main facade there are four busts, corresponding to the Count of Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide and Santesteban. The facades of the building are sandstone, typical material of the buildings of the time in the city.

Every 2 years the Grand-Place (central square) in Brussels is covered with a flower carpet of begonias during 3 or 4 days. The carpet of 77 m x 24 m is composed by about 120 volunteers, with nearly one million begonias.
This year, in 2014 the event was from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 August 2014 at the Grand-Place in Brussels.

Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.

The 69th edition of the Temps de Flors festival, an exhibition of flowers and plants in gardens, streets and monuments, returns in 2024, filling the city of Girona with its essence of spring delight and in contact with nature. In addition to streets, squares and staircases, interior spaces such as cloisters, the basement of the Cathedral or the Arab Baths, along with an endless number of usually private patios, will reopen their doors to welcome a dedicated public.
In total, this year you can see 109 floral installations spread across 12 Girona neighborhoods: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà and Vall de Sant Daniel. Some are made by professional gardeners, while others are the work of neighborhood associations and even students from schools and institutes.

The mosque was built in 1757 and is located in the Old Bazaar neighbourhood. It is one of fifteen mosques originally built in the city during the Ottoman era.
The mosque was given a "Cultural Monument" (Monumente Kulturore) status by the Albanian government in 1973, sparing its destruction by the totalitarian communist regime of Albania. The remaining twelve mosques were subsequently demolished. Because of a religion ban in Albania, the mosque was used as a training hall for circus acrobats who made use of the high domed ceilings to hang their trapezes.

Our Lady of Meritxell (Catalan: Mare de Déu de Meritxell) is an Andorran Roman Catholic statue depicting an apparition of the Virgin Mary. Our Lady of Meritxell is the patron saint of Andorra. The original statue dated from the late 12th century. However, the chapel in which it was housed burned down on September 8 and 9, 1972, and the statue was destroyed. A replica can be found in the new Meritxell Chapel, designed in 1976 by Ricardo Bofill.

Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.
Girona becomes a large urban garden with the arrival of Temps de Flors, a spring festival that this year 2024 will be celebrated from May 11 to 19, eight days to experience all the color and beauty of nature. As in all previous editions, the city is adorned with vivid floral arrangements that adorn emblematic buildings in the historic center and countless corners and squares, giving life to a spectacle that each year provides unrepeatable images.
The 69th edition of the Temps de Flors festival, an exhibition of flowers and plants in gardens, streets and monuments, returns in 2024, filling the city of Girona with its essence of spring delight and in contact with nature. In addition to streets, squares and staircases, interior spaces such as cloisters, the basement of the Cathedral or the Arab Baths, along with an endless number of usually private patios, will reopen their doors to welcome a dedicated public.
In total, this year you can see 109 floral installations spread across 12 Girona neighborhoods: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà and Vall de Sant Daniel. Some are made by professional gardeners, while others are the work of neighborhood associations and even students from schools and institutes.

El Teatro Victoria Eugenia (en euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) es un teatro situado en la ciudad de San Sebastián (España). Obra del arquitecto Francisco de Urcola, fue inaugurado en 1912. Ha sido escenario de importantes estrenos de zarzuela y de todas las ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián hasta 1999, en las que el teatro fue escenario de acontecimientos como los estrenos mundiales de las películas Vértigo y Con la muerte en los talones de Alfred Hitchcock. Entre los años 2001 y 2007 se llevó a cabo el más profundo proceso de reforma del teatro. A lo largo de su siglo de historia ha sido el epicentro de la vida cultural de la ciudad y se ha erigido en uno de los más activos e importantes teatros de España.

The Victoria Eugenia Theater (in Euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) is a theater located in the city of San Sebastián (Spain). Work of the architect Francisco de Urcola, was inaugurated in 1912. It is a delightful town full of old houses, clean and superbly decorated with flowers of all colors. Balconies and windows with pristine white walls. The whole valley is a delight for the traveler and if he is a photographer his finger is stiff from so much shooting.
When I saw the photograph, I thought it looked like a watercolor and for a change, it occurred to me to edit it in the form of a painting.
Since I like the result, I decided to upload it to Flickr to see what happens.
Sometimes I like to leave the orthodoxy and try different editions. Sometimes they go well and sometimes they do not.
Like it or not, I've had a lot of fun doing it.

Es un delicioso pueblo lleno de casas antiguas, limpias y magníficamente decoradas con flores de todos los colores. Balcones y ventanas con paredes blancas impolutas. Todo el valle es una delicia para el viajero y si es fotógrafo se le agarrota el dedo de tanto disparar.
Cuando visioné la fotografía, pensé que parecía una acuarela y para variar, se me ocurrió editarla en forma de pintura.
Ya que el resultado me gusta, he decidido subirla a Flickr a ver que pasa.
A veces me gusta salirme de la ortodoxia y probar con ediciones distintas. Unas veces salen bien y otras no.
Guste o no, me he divertido un mucho haciéndolo.

Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.

El Teatro Victoria Eugenia (en euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) es un teatro situado en la ciudad de San Sebastián (España). Obra del arquitecto Francisco de Urcola, fue inaugurado en 1912. Ha sido escenario de importantes estrenos de zarzuela y de todas las ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián hasta 1999, en las que el teatro fue escenario de acontecimientos como los estrenos mundiales de las películas Vértigo y Con la muerte en los talones de Alfred Hitchcock. Entre los años 2001 y 2007 se llevó a cabo el más profundo proceso de reforma del teatro. A lo largo de su siglo de historia ha sido el epicentro de la vida cultural de la ciudad y se ha erigido en uno de los más activos e importantes teatros de España.
El Teatro Victoria Eugenia, de estilo neorrenacentista español y neoplateresco y cuya entrada principal está situada en el Paseo de la República Argentina, ocupa una superficie total de 2.400 m². Mientras que un gran número de edificios del siglo XIX en San Sebastián son de clara influencia francesa, el exterior del edificio está inspirado en el palacio de Monterrey de Salamanca. En la fachada principal hay cuatro bustos, correspondientes al Conde de Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide y Santesteban. The Victoria Eugenia Theater (in Euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) is a theater located in the city of San Sebastián (Spain). Work of the architect Francisco de Urcola, was inaugurated in 1912. It has been the scene of important releases of zarzuela and of all the editions of the San Sebastian International Film Festival until 1999, in which the theater was the scene of events such as the world premieres of the films Vertigo and With death on the heels of Alfred Hitchcock. Between 2001 and 2007 the deepest process of theater reform was carried out. Throughout its century of history it has been the epicenter of the cultural life of the city and has become one of the most active and important theaters in Spain.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater, of Neo-Renaissance Spanish and Neoplateresque style and whose main entrance is located on the Paseo de la República Argentina, occupies a total area of 2,400 m². While a large number of nineteenth-century buildings in San Sebastian are clearly influenced by France, the exterior of the building is inspired by the Monterrey Palace in Salamanca.On the main facade there are four busts, corresponding to the Count of Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide and Santesteban. The facades of the building are sandstone, typical material of the buildings of the time in the city.

Uno de los recovecos de la escollera de Campo del Sur, alberga una colonia felina controlada "Los África".
Un grupo de voluntarios los controla diariamente, alimentándolos y limpiando su asentamiento.
Todos los gatos de la colonia están apadrinados, lo que supone una cuota mensual de 6 euros con el fin de sufragar gastos de comida y veterinario.

One of the nooks and crannies of the Campo del Sur breakwater is home to a controlled feline colony "Los Africa".
A group of volunteers checks them on a daily basis, feeding them and cleaning their settlement.
All the cats in the colony are sponsored, which means a monthly fee of 6 euros in order to cover food and veterinary expenses.

Temps de Flors 2024, Girona.
Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.
