I'm working toward more SOOC shots and find that the those featuring this chandelier are coming out the best - guess it's true that we often capture best those things that capture us.

Sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night after having a disturbing(not scary, but disturbing) dream and afraid to go back to sleep cuz it starts again right where I left off. During these brief moments of lucidity I also felt there's something or someone in the room and that literally sent chills up and down my spine. This lasted about half an hour and needless to say, I didn't sleep so well after that.

And I have a headache now, oy.

Life for you would be as perfect

As the blueness of the sky,

And no one would ever hurt you,

Or ever make you cry.

I know it's just a dream,

But if dreams could come true,

I would close my eyes,

And dream a dream for you.

I've been itching lately to do a diptych...but none of the images I currently have in my 'post to Flickr' folder lend themselves very well to such a project. So I had to dig back... and back, and back. The image on the right, of the lilac branch, isn't all that ancient - it's from the spring/summer of 2006. The image on the left, however, is from 2003. It's me, but a five-and-a-half year younger version of me.

Anyway. I do love diptychs. They're like minature stories, in the form of photos instead of words. I need to dream up more of them.

Oh, and, I'm not really ready for spring yet. I just have dreams of it sometimes. The flowers, the blooming cherry trees, the thick, soft green grass... ahh.

Dreams & Reality they both lead to each other.. Reality start with a dream.. Dream ends with reality.. :'')

Written by me.. :''))

I'll stop flickering for a while..

Dreams. Turned out every moment of every hour...it's all that is left. And the fight goes on....to keep any of them from turning.

Collage and nonsense for new collab. book with Roger Stevens. A work in progress. he started it off and posted to me and when I've added a few bits I will post it back to him and so on and so fifth.

The large stance of Douglas Fir, Pine, Cedar, Spruce, Hemlock, in the background covers about two blocks in width and about a block in breadth. We call it the Fairy Forest (to my Grands) ... and in March is it is where the Leprechauns hang out. It's quite dense once inside and you really feel like you are in another world. The quiet is deafening, the air is thick with fresh evergreen scents (imagine being inside the Christmas Tree or inside your cedar chest!) Good for your lungs, good for your soul, good for your heart.

Years ago, I took two of my grands there and we spent the good part of an hour each time. They ran, cavorted, used down logs as balance beams, sat inside the hollow tree, found evidence of Leprechauns ... yes really, =0). We learned about growth, decay, life, death, age and nourishment. I loved being a part of that with them, I love that this forest is close to me.

This is Walter's forest ... that's the owners name. He pops by my house now and then to use my driveway to access it so he can go check out what might yield new firewood, damage that might have been caused from the kids, and the like. He brings us homemade cookies (by him) as a thank you ... my, are they ever good. He bought the property eons ago to build a house for his wife then she didn't want to live there so it sits as it was some forty years ago. The area has always been quite forested and still is in some parts. I love that about here. I can get this and be near to the ocean ... I'm good forever!

I haven't been in there for quite some time. Maybe this spring I'll take my 4 year old granddaughter in. There are fallen logs, hollow trees, trails made by the high school kids nearby, brunt out stumps (vandalism), a trail that leads to the next road over, small wildlife, and the canopy is almost thick enough you cannot see the sky. When the sun shines, it casts rays through the branches and places dapples of light here and there .... it really is magnificent. If I go in late spring then there will be new life sprouting up ... sooooo green. I think next time I go, I'll take a little bucket to bring back some cedar chips for my closet ... naturally made =0).

Until then I can dream. I must look back at my archives to find some images from within ... I get so busy with everything else I forget I did have my camera with me a couple of times with the kids.

Broken dreams.

Picking up the pieces of a shattered dream is better than having no pieces to pick up at all.

I've been away from the sewing machine for too long. I felt a bit rusty.

I needed to do something new and fresh, and with a sweet feeling.

I hope you like it. It's simple but all the pieces can be mix & match and be used in summer or winter.

This will be available for on the website, follow the link on my profile for more information.

inspired by childhood dream of a spooky barn boatride featuring animatronic and costumed characters loosely themed on 70s vintage fast food motifs.

I should mention that this was not a nightmare, but a thoroughly fun child's dream where we were riding through a spooky barn on boats and being served hamburgers, fries, shakes and other common fast food items.

One of the earliest dreams I can recall.

waiting his warm embrace and stubble covered face. the sweet smell of man ....OK not that sweet really. oh my wake up please this dream isn't that great after all .

and breath that's better back in my room alone heaven.

This is such an inspiring guy. I love his music for a while now an I was fortunate to see him live on his 1st time (and only) on Portugal.

I can't wait for his album (coming soon), I just can't stop thinking about the songs I've heard once, that are not available yet. It's been driving me crazy.

And it's not an habbit.

Well, this picture is from last summer, I've been editing old ones. I've been lazy lately, not shooting as much as I wanted. Still unemployed, but working (it's the rules now), and not having great perspectives of finding a "real" job. This is not inspiring :P

I'll try to try harder :D

Oh, this edit was made by my favorite editing program (after cs and lightroom, course!) lo-fi retro by wingnut. I've downloaded the trial and loved it so much for lo-fi style that I'll buy it as soon as I can. It's worth it for the speed and the look.

Lo-fi lovers should try it ♥

getting ready for the school fundraiser/auction. we are making the centerpieces....and i have no idea how these will turn out, but we'll see!! i'll post a pic when one is completed. as for now, i thought their handwriting looked pretty cool.

Old picture of Nobuo (from a couple of years ago in California) heavily processed.

The crimson lips, the honeycomb eyes, the shining hair and glowing skin. It all goes away in the dreams suddenly the lips are blood red, the eyes smoldering, the hair tangled and the skin broken. The trees chase her, the wind hurts her, the light is gone.

Hello Flickr.

Long time no see...

This photo has made me a bit nervous as I am not sure about self-portraits...

I was reading an article online which identifies how colours are related to our dreams. I was also toying with these new synthetic chinese balls which are very common now in market as a photogrpahic subject.

Just tagged them together and presented before you.

of sunshine, warm weather and water. I took this photo in 2005, when I was first on Cuba. I booked my trip for 2010 today and can't wait until it is April ;-)

im probably going to do the routine thing of going through my photos and deleting the ones i dont really like anymore... just thought id let u know..

im heading to the ER right now cuz of this weird rash thing on my skin (my normal doctors are closed). its probably nothing, but i get really paranoid about these types of things and quite frankly always feel like i might die with even the smallest of things (brought on by my LOVELY anxiety). Im heading to texas this week and am really scared about flying sooo well c how that goes... i had a dream my plane crashed last night.. sooo im a bit more anxious about things than usual...
