yes..this kozhikode beach, has stood witness to ma small feet learning to walk..the days when i couldn’t walk without holdling onto my dad’s hands, then it saw me building castles on its sand,then..it saw me beginning to notice the sunset..and then rush to the lion’s park..then it saw me with my friends celebrating after our exams..it saw me in mamas n pappas,it saw me going home in school bus..then…it saw me as a young girl, with the man of her dreams..it witnessed our dreams and visions, our pranks our secluded meetings…when no one was around to console…this beach had always been there..as a hand on the shoulder..Ever noticed something?this beach and de waves do not try to erase the name u write on the sand…neither is it the kind which pronounces its fathomless strength in its waves..it is mild,caring..and full of love…this beach is what i miss the most as i live out of the city.

I like this one... I have sleepless nights since a moment... this probably looks like this... scary shadows... little light... ghosts... surreal...love... dream... etc... - it's out of focus but... well! I like this anyways! (it's light painting only!)

This is one of the images from the Dream Scheme photo shoot on friday. I was standing in the lake. Had to empty 2 litres of water out of my wellies afterwards!
This second drawing is of me and my siblings and is about my identity as an older sister as well as recurring dreams I used to have where I was solely responsible for them. This piece is very personal as it is an embodiment of my feelings of love and protectiveness over them as well as my anxiety that comes with being a responsible older sister.
I took out the Ricohflex earlier this summer and shot a car show. There is something about color reversal film that is just heavenly.

... if you don't have a dream, how you gonna' have a dream come true!
Hammerstein, South Pacific
Lyrics, sung by Bloody Mary...
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk, Talk about things you'd like to do.
You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream,
How you gonna have a dream come true?
Talk about the moon floatin' in the sky Lookin' at a lily on the lake;
Talk about a bird learnin' how to fly.
Makin' all the music he can make.
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk, Talk about things you'd like to do.
You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream,
How you gonna have a dream come true?
Talk about the sparrow lookin' like a toy Pickin' through the broaches of a tree;
Talk about the girl, talk about the boy
Countin' all the ripples on the sea.
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk, Talk about things you'd like to do.
You got to have a dream,If you don't have a dream
How you gonna have a dream come true?
Talk about the boy sayin' to the girl:"Golly, baby, I'm a lucky cuss."
Talk about the girl sayin' to the boy:
"You an' me is lucky to be us!"
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk, Talk about things you'd like to do.
You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream
How you gonna have a dream come true?
If you don't talk happy,
And you never have dream,
Then you'll never have a dream come true!
My dream boat. Some day plan to sail around the world with my family. Doing it on a Hinckley would be just just fine.... ;)
'The Dream' is a sculpture by the Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa, at the site of the Sutton Manor Colliery, Nr St Helens, Merseyside, it was built with funds from The Big Art project in co-ordination with the Arts Council, The Art Fund and Channel 4.
Dream consists of an elongated white structure 20 metres (66 ft) tall, weighing 500 tons, which has been cast to resemble the head and neck of a young woman with her eyes closed in silent meditation. The structure is coated in sparkling white Spanish dolomite, as a contrast to the coal which used to be mined here.It is hoped it will become as powerful a symbol in North West England as Antony Gormley's Angel of the North is in North East England.
The ex Miners chose the design and Artist, and she is set in the now landscaped site of the Colliery, facing the the coal seam, as Sculptor Jaume Plensa said at the opening 'When we dream, anything is possible'.

"Dreaming"
When I met you in the restaurant
You could tell I was no debutante
You asked me what's my pleasure
A movie or a measure?
I'll have a cup of tea and tell you of my dreaming
Dreaming is free
I don't want to live on charity
Pleasure's real or is it fantasy?
Reel to reel is living rarity
People stop and stare at me We just walk on by - we just keep on dreaming
Feet feet, walking a two mile
Meet meet, meet me at the turnstile
I never met him, I'll never forget him
Dream dream, even for a little while
Dream dream, filling up an idle hour
Fade away, radiate
I sit by and watch the river flow
I sit by and watch the traffic go
Imagine something of your very own
Something you can have and hold
I'd build a road in gold just to have some dreaming
Dreaming is free
Dreaming
Dreaming is free
Dreaming
Dreaming is free

This place overlooks about 400 kms of the Himalayan mountain ranges and the view is really breathtaking, on clear days that is. On other days your eyes can still feast on some amazing cloud formations. A "bit" over processed to emphasize the couds :)

So yes, today was 95 degrees! I love this weather! Summer is soooo close and I just can't wait! I took this picture tonight for my class tomorrow (yeah, I don't procrastinate or anything) the pictures underneath are 4x5 polaroids taken on a large format camera from my large format class last quarter. I'll upload some of them as soon as I scan them...which could be a while

a thought... seven years in a life of a dog are an equivalent of one year of the human life. dogs are convinced they live long because our time concept is unknown to them... so, let's be optimistic. if we are dogs in the universe, one year of our life could be a second in the life of the universe (that is very optimistic). if someone had a good life, without being a member of the royal family, he/she may have lived 99 seconds of the universal time... hmm, a dream of life is short, isn't it?
this video was taken at the Barbican art centre, in London. there was a free exhibit by an American artist, Peter Coffin: some Pop-artish sculptures set at some distance from a curved media projection wall. I just had a sudden illumination, once I spotted the skull, and I knew I had a subject; it was just a matter of the angle and the framing...
