"All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible." -
T.E. Lawrence

I appropriate Aboriginal ideograms melding them to an English narrative thereby creating a cross cultural dialogue raising issues of ownership and authorship which attempt to overcome the barriers of our differing spoken languages and cultures. The chosen songlines are often banal or whimsical when compared to the sacred dreamings passed down through the 70,000 year history of artistic tradition belonging to the Aboriginal peoples of Australia.
My work concentrates on brightly coloured dot paintings, a particular style of work originating from Balgo, an area situated in The Great Western Desert 800km North West of Alice Springs.
This series of paintings have been exhibited in London, Cardiff (2x), Pembrokeshire (3x) and Barnsley (2x).

'Dream' is a 20 meter tall sculpture which stands on the site of the old Sutton Manor Colliery, near St Helens. Designed by Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa, it depicts the head of a young woman with her eyes closed in meditation. The sculpture faces due South, following the direction of the coal seam. It was cast from concrete and Dolomite marble and was officially unveiled on 31st May 2009.

The Dreaming Tree Crush Red Wine (North Coast, California - 2009)
For "Crush", Dave Matthews (lead singer of Dave Matthews Band) and Steve Reeder (internationally recognized winemaker) hand-selected a special blend of their favorite varieties to create a red wine that pulls you in with notes of smoky berry and a pop of raspberry jam. Around the dinner table or out on the patio, it’s a wine you’re going to want to share with your favorite people.
The beginning lyrics to the song "The Dreaming Tree" by Dave Matthews Band are actually on the cork itself and on the neck of the wine bottle. And ironically, "Crush" is yet another hit song by the Band - both songs are popular with the DMB fans - off the "Before These Crowded Streets" album.

Today, I'm revisiting all my dreams, tick off those that have been realized and make new ones.
I've seen this for years now but never been able to bench it due to certain obstacles. I finally got a clean shot at it.

Purple often represents devotion, loving kindness, compassion, and healing abilities and deep purple often represents mystery.
Dreaming about Treasure is often about adventure and life wisdom as well as a desire for money. You may be seeking wisdom in you life or have a real financial need.
Blue represents truth, wisdom, heaven, eternity, devotion, tranquility, loyalty and openness.
What a dream to enjoy this beautiful day at this magnificent location. Thank you Esmi for bringing me here :-)

With all the spider lilies in front of this it looks really nice I think. Reminds me somehow of Dr Seuss!

Mid-morning photo of Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. This is a 45 second exposure.
There was still snow on the trail starting at Bear Lake and other than a few patchy spots it covered the trail all the way to Emerald Lake. The snow is very soft and granular. It won't be around much longer. The ice on Emerald Lake was just showing the frst signs of melting. By the time I got to Emerald Lake the clouds had moved in and the peaks were mostly obscured.
