..and the wind blowing through the golden branches. A completely accidental shot, I rather like the effect it has produced.
I dream of a dream.
I dream that my dream shall someday come true.
I dream that all my dreams shall not remain just a dream.
I dream for that day when all these dreams are realised.
I dream that I don’t’ spend my days dreaming.
I dream that my dreams shall be more than just dreams.
I dream that these dreams will make me dream more.
Though these are dreams today,
I dream of making them a reality one day

... In dream you can fly forever
And never miss a turn,
In dream you can spread your wings
And know where to turn...

This has been a twilight/night shot much thought and planned, obtained also thanks to the use of some light painting with my torch.
Taken in the Cottian Alps (Italy) close to of the refuge Giacoletti (2.741 m), after restoring firsthand the Tibetan prayer flags that the insanely crazy wind of the last week had torn away.
The majestic mountain in the background is the Monviso (3.842 m), the highest peak in the Cottian Alps, which looms like a dark ghost, only the ice of its summit still shines thanks to the light of the moon setting on the horizon.
Silence all around... gently broken by the faint sound of the flags waving in the cold air of the night.
A moment I will never forget, full of an otherworldly and magic atmosphere.
Definitely one of my favorite night shots.
More aware than ever of the absolute beauty of the European Alps, the title is merely meant to suggest the importance of dreams as a dynamic element - an engine for the human being - leading to actions always new and strongly felt.

I've got to break free
I want to break free, yeah
I want, I want, I want, I want to break free.
With Queen, our kitchen cow dreams. I have taken her outside, into the sun, into the open. I can understand her dream.
Disregard the Exif data, this shot was done with the 35mm 7Artisans manual lens at F1.2, contre-jour. This lens will not produce good focus at this aperture and, as here, when close to the object. The reward, however, is a certain dreamlike rendition. Quite appropriate.

When walking down the street in Wéris (south of Belgium) you often see the typical houses that Belgians have built over the last fifty to hundred years as realization of their dream. It is often said that almost any Belgian has the ultimate ambition to build his/her own house. Indeed, house ownership is much higher in Belgium (71%) than for example in Germany (49%). For cost control, part of the building projects in Belgium are carried out by the young owners themselves, or by their family members (especially in the later stages). There is no standard design for houses in Belgium; likewise, dreams cannot be standardised. The designs along a street always differ from each other, with a variation within a certain range; decent houses to live in.
Sometimes these dream houses fall completely outside any reasonable variation and become unique eccentric realizations and works of art. This is the case for this house, with Jugendstil elements and inspirations from the books of Tolkien, Dickens and Rowling (Harry Potter). The story behind this house is unknown, but it looks as if the end is not really a happy one; the house is clearly abandoned with its overgrown driveway, its bewildered garden and it being devoid of any signs of life. But take a look at how the unique style is worked out in every detail. Maybe it is only a statue for a dream house, for the freedom of design, but too hard to live in (indeed, you cannot live in a statue). Frankly, we do not know. But it is certainly a piece of inspiration and a dramatic work of art.

I love purple coneflowers so much, my husband went out and bought some to plant in our garden earlier this summer. They are so pretty...and I enjoy photographing them as well. Hope you enjoy!

As the title suggests, this is a scene from a dream. It is a composite of ten images taken over the past decade. The muted colors are typical of a dream state, as are subtle distortions of space and time. The two people here look across space and time to themselves as they were eight years ago or eight years in the future.
The strong symbolism of conflict, here between the dangerous, terrible storm and the safe, dry house, between wind and calm, typify the drama of a dream. These opposites help to define and reinforce each other. What is peace without conflict, joy without sorrow?
Our thoughts and fears influence our dreams. One might wonder about the connection between dreams and reality, which at a deep level belong to us equally. Perhaps reality itself may be just another kind of dream, one from which most of us never wake up.
