Well I rather like my alt's roughneck/ pirate/ hippy (it's all a matter of perception) makeover but my dear friend Squashy sniffed..."hmm he really is TERRIBLY in need of a bath, isn't he?" lol
The texture is one built into the Picnik application- even after using it a while, I still find exploring the various features a lot of fun.

Gave myself a dreadhawk last night. I love it!!!
My dreads will be 5 years old next month and I was way overdue for a change. For almost a year I’ve been thinking of combing them out for various reasons (mostly to do with comfort and lifestyle) but I still like the look of dreads… so this is the perfect solution for me. It reduced the overall weight, cut my drying time in half, and takes care of all the loose hair around my ears and temples that was too fine to stay knotted but long enough to get in my face and constantly annoy me. :-)
My dreads at 18 months. I've been wanting to go blonde for quite some time...and I finally did it while we were in Eugene. Perfect for summertime :)

two years and three months. They're getting long enough to lean back on when I drive, and I'll just kind of scoop them to the side. I heart them.

Today i played around with various ways of puttin up the dreads.
For this one i took my first layer of dreads on either side and tied them together around my head. Then I took my second layer of dreads and tied them over the first layer. With the last layer i braided and then wrapped it up around on the sides to meet in the middle of the top of my head. No robber bands or pins used.
...im thinking of doing my hair like this for my gallery opening in December.
