A combination of rain clouds and intermintent sun made for dramatic skies over the sandstone cliff formations in the Sedona region. A painters dream lasting only moments as the light would then disappear as it played hide and seek. Photographers had to be patient and awake to the moment which is just how I like it to be. The one formation does resemble a penis well some of them anyway. And other high towers are given fancy and funny names as well. Its a land of wonder, awe, wow as well as a dream come true for hikers, nature lovers, and artists of every kind.
A calm yet powerful moment.
This manatee, almost sculpted by light, glides through lettuce like a silent guardian of underwater worlds.
Captured in a natural light setting, this shot plays on contrast, texture, and atmosphere.
I tried to let the softness speak louder than the scene itself.

Spring in Tashkent carries the scent of renewal and sunlight. In the heart of Navruz Park, amidst the festive bustle of the holiday, the light itself chooses where to set the accents. This shot is a quiet ode to the Tashkent sun, which feels especially brilliant and sharp during these celebration days.

A dramatic architectural photograph showcasing the magnificent façade of Manchester's iconic Refuge Building, captured from a low angle that emphasizes its imposing Victorian grandeur. The ornate red brick and terracotta detailing is beautifully highlighted against the moody, storm-laden sky, with the building's elaborate carved stonework, classical columns, and decorative friezes creating a stunning display of 19th-century craftsmanship. The "REFUGE" lettering is prominently displayed, identifying this historic landmark that once housed the Refuge Assurance Company. The dramatic lighting and atmospheric clouds add a sense of monumentality to this architectural masterpiece that dominates Manchester's Oxford Street skyline.
As I was posting this and remembering my sessions and interactions with these ladies, it occurred to me that since I began shooting in this genre I have met so many cool people! Allow me to gush a bit over these two: As both photographers and models, Keira and Jacs are two extremely talented people, who do some amazing stuff, and they are very easy to work with.
OK, Love Fest is over! lol

We stood on the Seceda for over two hours amid shifting rain showers and dense clouds, 2,500 meters above the valley.
Visibility: almost zero. 😶️ Mood: in the basement. 😤
For me, the Seceda without clouds is only half the Seceda, so we waited.
When the cloud cover finally tore open, I could hardly believe my eyes. To my left, this rainbow appeared.
A rainbow needs two ingredients: water droplets and sunlight from the right direction.
From a mountain summit, you can sometimes see a rainbow as a complete circle because the horizon is low enough.
I was lucky enough to look down into the valley basin as if through a window into another world.
The wait had been worth it, and not just for the perfect photo.
What’s your recipe when the weather turns bad? Pack up and leave, or wait it out? 🤔
✨Thank you for taking a look. Have a great day and always good light! ✨

In normal light, this iris looks dark purple...almost black. I bought the bulb in Texas a couple of years ago, and it's called "Hello Darkness" after the Paul Simon song.
This was lit with a strobe equipped with a snoot underneath the flower, and a strobe in a softbox on either side of the flower. I just adjusted the flash output until I got the result I wanted. It looks entirely different lit like this which is why I used Halloween in the name.
Other plants and flowers that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my strobe lit plant set. In the description, I list resources that I've used to learn how to do this. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/...
