That day there were more boats docked in Hobart than I'd seen in a
long time, not including the Sydney to Hobart race of course.
Took these at Glacier National Park last year and never put then to use. Glad I still had them. All taken with the D70.
Just after a huge thunderstorm, the sky lightened and really highlighted the old dock. It seems everything points to the island of Palm trees on the horizon.
Went to the beach after work today and before camera club. Was hoping to get a good beach scene, but liked this rope and ring better. Got home late from the meeting so this is going to be brief... I'm ready for bed... No comments to night, my flickr friends... hopefully tomorrow... have another meeting after work, so not sure.. .but know I love your work and will be commenting again on Thursday for sure...
We were moored at Dock Street Marina on the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma. These pictures were all taken on walks about the waterfront.
Portsmouth Historic Dock:- Part of Portsmouth Harbour and within the Royal Navy dockyard. I have been wanting to come here for years. My biggest want when visiting was to see HMS Victory. Well I did and cracked my head several times, but every smack was worth it. What a fantastic ship. But there was also The Warrior, Dock Cruise, Mary Rose exhibition. Sadly the Mary Roase cannot be viewed as they are building a new lottery funded building around her. There was of course the Royal Navy museum both past and present. It was a grand day out.
