Appledore in Devon, they built ships here for many years, not just tugs and trawlers but Brigantines aswell
A really well modelled dock on the Museum of Transport layout at the Keighley Model Railway Exhibition. 2/3/2025. Every single inch of this massive layout was filled with models of all types. Absolutely mind-blowing.

This was the first dock dogs competition I had the honour of seeing...had fun taking photos.
Challenged with getting these dogs in focus...especially since my camera has a VERY slow focus time. Found my best results with manual focus, and pre 'guessing' how far away I thought the dogs might be...lol.
Canning Dock. Hydraulic Pumping Station to East of Canning Half-Tide Dock. Pumps were fitted to the graving docks in 1829 so that they could be emptied even when the wet dock is full. Adaptive reuse as The Pump House Public House.
"Former Hydraulic Engine house, accumulator tower and chimney,1870s. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Engine house has gable with louvre. Round chimney on square base has machicolated cap to north. Lower part of accumulator tower to south".
Grade II listed building. List entry Number: 1280849.

Taken with a 35mm Canon AE1 SLR, with Kodak Tri-X 400 Black and White Film. Darkroom developed.

Giant pumps for the adjacent derelict dry dock. Eventually this room filled with water so i was lucky to get the shot when I did.
Used clone stamp to edit out yellow sign on post, lights, and background.
Increased vibrance and saturation.
Applied Dry brush, water paper, smudge stick, water color and poster edges.
