Portsmouth Historic Dock:- Part of Portsmouth Harbour and within the Royal Navy dockyard. I have been wanting to come here for years. My biggest want when visiting was to see HMS Victory. Well I did and cracked my head several times, but every smack was worth it. What a fantastic ship. But there was also The Warrior, Dock Cruise, Mary Rose exhibition. Sadly the Mary Roase cannot be viewed as they are building a new lottery funded building around her. There was of course the Royal Navy museum both past and present. It was a grand day out.

Looking down at Dock St., a brick street, in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. It was built with bricks from all the brick makers (8 or 9 of them) that were in operation in the Wilmington area at the time it was built during the 19th century. Each company's name appears on many of the bricks that they made and were used to construct Dock St. Bricks of different colors and textures came from the different manufacturers.

I saw a blue jay and followed it. I lifted my camera- it was gone. I looked down and saw this. Bright morning light bleaching the wood on the dock.
