January 25, 2020 - After our FANTASTIC cruise to Antarctica the MV Corinthian is in the process of docking. Ushuaia, Argentina.
Clarence Dock Gate Piers and the Dock Wall. The Dock was designed by Jesse Hartley and opened in 1830. It was closed in 1928 when a power station (since demolished) was built on the site. The Dock perimeter wall was begun in 1816 by John Foster Senior and subsequently extended by G F Lyster.
I just got Lightroom, so this is a trial picture. I had to let go of Photoshop some time ago, have missed it and had to do with Picasa. I will practice some more ... because I don't quite get it yet!
The former dock platform at Maryborough station. This one was used by trains between Maryborough-Ararat. At the other end of the station is another dock platform that was used for passenger trains between Maryborough and Castlemaine. 29th May 2017.

The Albert Dock is a complex of dock buildings and warehouses in Liverpool, England. Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, it was opened in 1846, and was the first structure in Britain to built from cast iron, brick and stone, with no structural wood. As a result it was the first non-combustible warehouse system in the world.Today the Albert Dock is a major tourist attraction in the city and is a vital component of the UNESCO World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City. The docking complex and warehouses also comprise the largest single collection of Grade I listed buildings anywhere in the UK.
