Russia Dock, Rotherhithe, Southwark, London. A former dock, filled in and now reborn as a public park.
"Aaah, that's Virgo cruise!" My sister yelled when this yacht suddenly appeared as if it came out from the clouds, when we crossed the corridor connecting the Harbourfront mall and the cable car station, where we supposed to take off to Sentosa Island.
When we came on top of it, from our cable car we were able to see the neverending party going on the yacht. Swimming pool, decks and decks of rooms, the luxurious yacht you only see in movies. Or maybe I was just acting like a hillbilly :D
Lots of bees in the meadow, and a couple of holly blue butterflies, plus some new arrivals: half a dozen dock bugs.

Ironwood decking is on the main level and aluminum sandstone on upper deck with koko brown panels on hip roof. The dock is connected to shore by a 52 ft aluminum gangway, also with ironwood decking.
We always found the docking fascinating, although it's really nothing more than the ship moving sideways until it bumps into a wall. This dock had a great view of Corfu City, too. Good thing there was no ship on the other side of the pier.

Originally built in 1883 as a wine dock by Merman Koster, it was enlarged in 1889 to facilitate shipment of his product. Later, when the Koster Winery went out of business, the dock was used by the Sweet Valley, Monarch, and Meiers Wine Companies. From 1907 to 1945, it was owned by the Kelleys Island Lime and Transport Company and, from 1921 to 1955, was used by the Lay Brothers Fish Company. In the latter year, the dock was taken over by the Kelleys Island Fish Producers Co-op as a parking and transfer station. Since commercial fishing ceased to be profitable in the 1960's, it has been used for other purposes: marina, chartered sports fishing boats, etc.

The conveyor belt in the photo is one of two used to coal engines, and the water crane connected to the water tower (behind where I'm standing here).
It goes without saying that this photo was taken from a location which is not accessible to the public (unless you happen to volunteer - hint, hint!)
