Taken in 2002 on a Caribbean cruise. This is a dock in Belize on the island of Ambergris Caye.
This was taken with a Kodak Advantix and scanned.
Lots of bees in the meadow, and a couple of holly blue butterflies, plus some new arrivals: half a dozen dock bugs.
What a quaint place for two lovers to go and spend a quiet moment alone together.

Taken at the docks in Salem. The sun was right in my face while it was setting as you can see from the glare that it gave me in my lens. Hopefully it didnt come out too bad
Ironwood (Ipe) Decking of Dockscapes' Wahoo Side Slip Dock with Sun Deck for the Wades on Tim's Ford - A Wahoo Category 3 side slip floating aluminum dock with upper level sun deck being installed at Tim's Ford by Dennis English and his Dockscapes team. Ironwood decking is on the main level and aluminum sandstone on upper deck with koko brown panels on hip roof. The dock is connected to shore by a 52 ft aluminum gangway, also with ironwood decking.
We always found the docking fascinating, although it's really nothing more than the ship moving sideways until it bumps into a wall. This dock had a great view of Corfu City, too. Good thing there was no ship on the other side of the pier.
Dick Kleberg lake, Dick Kleberg Park. Loved the Chinese style architecture. The clouds & rail gave off the perfect atmosphere for the fish eye lens.
Some dock seed heads. The lighting and colour caught my eye. The pink background bokeh is Red Campion.
