This was from the morning gathering at the lek* - these are Lesser Prairie Chickens (they don't have as much brown in them). They share territory in some areas.
*A Lek is a hill/or rise area where birds and animals gather to do their courting and sparking!
I kind of miss my hardcore hdrs. So, I decided to produce this one. Back to my old self where I feel happiness.

HVLE rijdt dagelijks een kalktrein vanuit de kalkgroeve van de firma Fels-Werke in Rübeland via Blankenburg(Harz) naar het bij Braunschweig gelegen Beddingen. De kalk wordt in de staalproductiefabrieken van Salzgitter AG gebruikt in het productieproces van diverse staalproducten.
Terwijl de beladen kalktrein altijd 's nachts rijdt, vertrekt de lege trein terug naar de kalkgroeve in de namiddag uit Beddingen. Aangezien er geen directe route mogelijk is naar de kalkgroeve rijdt de trein een aanzienlijk eind om; via Helmstedt en Magdeburg.
Tot aan de hoofdstad van de Duitse deelstaat Sachsen-Anhalt rijdt de trein 'fout voor de zon'. Pas bij het even ten zuiden van Magdeburg gelegen Schönebeck(Elbe) verlaat de trein de geëlektrificeerde hoofdlijn. Vanaf hier wordt weer in westelijke richting gereden (en daarmee goed voor de zon in de avond!). De trein vervolgt hier zijn route naar Blankenburg via een aantal ongeëlektrificeerde spoorlijnen.
Omdat het op zaterdag 24 augustus erg rustig was met leuke goederentreinen op de hoofdlijn Magdeburg-Braunschweig besloot ik de lege HVLE kalktrein te gaan vastleggen. Omdat er vrijwel geen fotomogelijkheden op internet stonden moest ik er zelf naar op zoek gaan.
Even ten westen van het stationnetje Schönebeck Bad Salzelmen bleek vanaf het talud van de Bundesstraße een heel fraai zicht op het diesellijntje Schönebeck-Staßfurt. Helemaal zeker dat de trein hier langs zou komen was ik niet, maar bij het speuren op maps.google vond ik eigenlijk geen andere mogelijke routes dus werd de gok genomen.
Na een ruim half uur wachten sloot de spoorwegovergang in de verte aan de rand van het bos zich en dook in de verte een oranje lok op! Goed nieuws, de trein kwam er aan! En zo kon de V330.3 van HVLE met de lege kalktrein uit Beddingen worden vastgelegd bij Schönebeck(Elbe) op weg naar Blankenburg. Tevreden werd in de auto gestapt, want omdat de trein nog een behoorlijke omweg moest rijden zou er misschien nog wel een foto mogelijk zijn... Maar daarover later meer...

Per godere della bellezza unica e mozzafiato delle Tre Cime da tutti i lati, in estate c'è una strada a pedaggio tra Misurina e il Rifugio Auronzo. il sentiero porta alle Drei Zinnen. enorme parcheggio al traguardo..... la strada a pedaggio lascia passare solo se ci sono ancora posti disponibili.
La regione delle Tre Cime in Alto Adige offre numerosi sentieri per escursionisti esperti e principianti. I maestosi speroni di roccia offrono agli amanti della montagna numerose vie di arrampicata di diversi gradi di difficoltà .

The Three Peaks region in South Tyrol offers numerous hiking trails for experienced hikers and beginners alike. The majestic rock spurs offer mountain lovers numerous climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty.

DRS 37401 + 37422 are seen stopped in Carlisle Station for a crew change working 6X12 West Ealing - Tyne S.S. on January 9th, 2023.

Fue llegar a Babilafuente y nos encontramos con las barreras del paso a nivel bajadas, tocaba improvisar algo y no tardamos mucho en ver la topera del ramal de la planta de bioetanol, que nos iba a servir para hacer la primera foto de este traslado por la directa.

The legendary King Arthur has a direct association with the Castle Rocks of St John, courtesy of Sir Walter Scott’s epic poem of 1813, Bridal of Triermain. The poem tells the story of a young knight named Roland de Vaux who falls in love with a mysterious woman named Gyneth, who is revealed to be a fairy queen. The story takes place in the scenic Vale of St. John, near the town of Triermain. Gwyneth resides in the castle there (Castle Rock).
Synopsis of the poem:
The Bridal of Triermain interweaves three stories, all with a Lake District setting: the eighteenth-century courtship of Arthur and Lucy, the Arthurian Legend of 'Lyulph's Tale', and the twelfth-century romance of Sir Roland de Vaux.
In order to warn his aristocratic lover Lucy against excessive maidenly pride, the low-born poet Arthur recites 'Lyulph's Tale' in cantos I-II. He tells how how King Arthur is seduced by the enchantress Guendolen. When he abandons the pregnant Guendolen to resume his kingly duties, she swears revenge. Sixteen years later, the fruit of their union, Gyneth appears at Camelot to remind Arthur of his promise that should he and Guendolen produce a daughter, she would wed the bravest of the Knights of the Round Table. Arthur declares a tournament with Gyneth's hand as the prize but instructs her to halt the combat before lives are lost. As the instrument of her mother's wrath, however, she does nothing to end the ferocious fighting, until Merlin arises from a chasm in the ground to punish her. She is sentenced to slumber in Guendolen's enchanted castle until awakened by a knight as brave as any of the Round Table.
The poet Arthur's courtship of Lucy proves successful and, following their marriage, Lucy begs him to tell of Gyneth's fate. In the third and final canto, then, he recounts the quest of the twelfth-century knight Sir Roland de Vaux of Triermain. He has heard Gyneth's legend and sets out to find the enchanted castle. Having located it in the Valley of Saint John, he successfully passes through a series of allegorical dangers and temptations (Fear, Avarice, Sensuality, Ambition) to awaken Gyneth from her five hundred-year sleep and win her hand.

El Parque de Mendikosolo (Arrigorriaga, Bizkaia) es un encuentro entre naturaleza y sociedad, donde las personas podemos tener un contacto más directo de lo habitual con especies de animales y plantas salvajes y domésticas. Sus 45 hectáreas de superficie están compuestas en su mayor parte por frondosas autóctonas, como robles, arces y fresnos e incluye un lago de 1,5 hectáreas. En este ambiente se puede disfrutar de la vista y la cercanÃa de animales como cisnes, gansos, ánades, asà como de las muchas especies salvajes que pueblan el lugar.
