This is a clear shot of Direct light. The light is obviously coming from the right, and the shadow is well captured. The perfume itself is shining off, thanks to the light.

stewed lentils w/ yogurt-cucumber-cayenne-cilantro sauce over rice. like most vegetarian recipes, this would have been better with meat: cubes of delicate lamb or juicy chicken. you toast cilantro seeds. empty pan. melt ghee and sauté onions, garlic, ginger (i had to resort to ginger powder, boo). when softened add turmeric. stir around another minute. add lentils which have been soaked overnight, add water to cover. bring to boil and lower heat, cook 15-20 mins. salt to taste.
