Con una inversión de 950 millones de pesos, el gobernador de Sinaloa, Mario López Valdez, dio el banderazo de inicio de construcción de la Plaza Senderos Los Mochis, la cual será edificada en una superficie de más de 13 hectáreas.
El mandatario estatal señaló que éste promete ser el centro comercial más grande y moderno del norte del estado, generando más de 4 mil 500 empleos directos e indirectos, lo que viene a dinamizar la actividad económica de las familias ahomenses.
De acuerdo al compromiso del grupo desarrollador, Acosta Verde, impulsor del proyecto, la plaza Sendero Los Mochis, será inaugurada el 31 de agosto de este año, y por primera vez incorporarán una tienda Ley a este tipo de proyectos, que además incluye la construcción de ocho salas de cine de la cadena Cinépolis y una tienda departamental Fábricas de Francia.
El 6 de marzo de 2025 tuvo lugar la entrega de los Premios Benita Asas Manterola, que reconocen la investigación con perspectiva de género en Trabajos de Fin de Grado, Trabajos de Fin de Máster y tesis doctorales. En la modalidad de tesis doctoral se reconoció a Maite Larrucea Iruretagoyena por su investigación titulada “Bidirectional relationships between parents and early adolescents´ psychological symptoms: the role of mindful parenting, attachment, and parental self-compassion" y en el apartado de Trabajo de Fin de Máster (TFM), a Igor Cano Ares, por su trabajo “Empowering Students for Gender Equality: A Script Creation Project in Secondary Education".
Por su parte, los trabajos de Fin de Grado (TFG) premiados han sido los de Jone Alberdi Goya, titulado “Maitasuna, menpekotasuna eta boterea: Amatasuna eta zaintza euskal literatura garaikidean”; June Galardi Zapirain, titulado "Isildutako ahotsak: genero indarkeriaren biktima diren emakume errefuxiatuen borrokak; y Claudia Ariznavarreta Mocha, con el título "Desarrollo de una solución preventiva y educativa respecto al análisis íntegro del impacto del cáncer de mama en mujeres jóvenes".
La ceremonia contó también con la participación de la historiadora María José Villa, autora del libro “Benita Asas Manterola y los feminismos en España (1873-1968)”. El evento también sirvió para el lanzamiento de la 4ª convocatoria de los Premios Benita Asas Manterola, en honor a esta maestra y feminista nacida en Donostia en 1873 que fue cofundadora del periódico El Pensamiento Femenino, presidenta de la junta directiva de la Asociación Nacional de Mujeres Españolas y participó en el movimiento sufragista por el derecho al voto femenino.
