I hurt my ankle and I can not walk, besides the way to the lagoon is closed and well here is the result

This large Etruscan cemetery reflects different types of burial practices from the 9th to the 1st century BC, and bear witness to the achievements of Etruscan culture. Which over nine centuries developed the earliest urban civilization in the northern Mediterranean. Some of the tombs are monumental, cut in rock and topped by impressive tumuli (burial mounds). Many feature carvings on their walls, others have wall paintings of outstanding quality.

The necropolis near Cerveteri, known as Banditaccia, contains thousands of tombs organized in a city-like plan, with streets, small squares and neighbourhoods. The site contains very different types of tombs: trenches cut in rock; tumuli; and some, also carved in rock, in the shape of huts or houses with a wealth of structural details. These provide the only surviving evidence of Etruscan residential architecture.

It's important to share our views with each other, 'cos know why? Everyone sees things differently.

Turkey Tails, (Trametes versicolor) fruiting body on rotting tree log, Trametes versicolor – also known as Coriolus versicolor and Polyporus versicolor – is a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Meaning 'of several colours', versicolor reliably describes this fungus that displays different colors.

Surely we can always find something good about others. Even if we have some differences.

I need to try and reshoot this bird, I think I could have chosen better settings on my camera and I would prefer a ground setting rather than one on top of a roof, although a blue sky was a plus. I still like the image but I would like more time with the subject. I got spoiled with 5 weeks of Bald Eagle shooting.

I am sure many of my many followers on Flickr are bored with Langstone Harbour so I decided to get my passport out today and take a drive into West Sussex and visit the village of Bosham and met with my Flickr friends Andy & Paul to shoot the sunset!

The tide was low so we set our tripods up at the end of quay overlooking the slipway and the channel of water left in the creek and watched an amazing sunset develop in the sky, it's been a long while since I have experienced such a beautiful display of colour in sky - this image was taken at the peak of the colour about 15 minutes after sunset!

and one sb900 shoot bounce on silver umbrella at 1/4 power as a main light for the object/me

the trick to give that warping effect is i hang a white table cloth on the door than shoot it with speedlight

I liked how this split in the fence shows two different paths: the high wire with lots of twists and turns, or the smooth, easy slope down. I think the easy route looks the most appealing!

An early post ready for FF tomorrow as I think I've got a busy day. Have a good weekend everyone.

Grazie."

I had watched a tutorial earlier this week about the camera and different settings, something I think one is supposed to do when you first buy a camera, but why on earth do that?!

There were quite a few things that I learnt ( including how to double take, which I have yet to try) about the camera including the “C” function which I had never used before, I have used the “M” button except for when I hand it to someone else and then put it into point and shoot mode.

This is a result of the “c” function, the light source is the phones torch, I was surprised just how clear the shot was but then of course the iso is up through the roof.

It’s a cyclamen but and stem but then I suspect that you knew that anyway.

Thanks for stopping

Something a little different--a crop of what I think is a Common Green Darner. I am struck by the jeweled beauty of insects, and that so many folks are too repulsed by them to notice!

A lovely little waterfall in the upper section of Glen Helen captured on a damp summer morning. Taken super wide angle at 14mm with my circular polariser making those lush forest colours pop. I’ve not been very active photography wise for the majority of the summer, as my priorities have been elsewhere (spending time with my 7-month-old photography apprentice!). I’ve not taken a single photo is 2 months!!?? However, as the nights begin to draw in, the sunrises get that little easier to wake for, the autumn colours begin to show themselves and the weather gets a bit more interesting, my urge to be back out shooting will return. Cannot wait! 😁

A different shot (at least for me) of the tulip fields of North Holland. I’m usually drawn to the strong lines in the fields but the lack of clouds during the sunrise made me think different for this one. So I took out the long lense and this is the result…
