As part of my GCSE Art & Design qualification, I created this piece as my final artwork under the title 'Similarities and Differences'. It shows a Macaque monkey drawn in abstract colours and exposing internal parts of its body to reveal a human foetus inside the animal's uterus. My intended message behind the piece was to illustrate a visual metaphor for evolution; although humans and some species of monkeys share over 90% of the same DNA, they are still very different creatures.

Dear all,
I know a 13 year old might not make a difference, but what’s the harm in trying? When I first heard about a third of the Botanical Gardens being demolished, I thought that nothing could be done, and it would just be another large step to making Bermuda more of a concrete jungle. But then I was inspired. I heard about this ‘Virtual March’ and knew that I might actually be able to make a difference. I went to school the next day, digital camera and ‘Save The Gardens’ sign in hand, and took pictures. I was amazed at how all of the BHS students wanted to take a part, and in 40 minutes I had 46 pictures of over 100 people. I really hope that they will not build the hospital in our magnificent gardens, and will continue to do all I can to prevent it. It is such a tragedy that our adults are prepared to take away one of few green spaces we have left, and that us, the children, will have to live with it the rest of our lives.
Thank you to all my fellow students who let me take their picture, and to Ms. Nash without whom I would not have pursued this.

Apparently, part #6628 towball pin has a variant. I only discovered this recently, so I am unsure of which version is older, or what. the one on the left has a more square opening, and will not easily accommodate 3mm bars. The one on the right, on the other hand, will.
This is quite bizarre, check it out. The background of the H1 section, right behind Collections, is different between monitors.
On the left monitor, the CRT, the subtle tan color is obvious. But on the LCD (right), it's gone! I didn't have an LCD at the time I built this web site, otherwise I would have caught it. Bummer.
I used my polarized glasses to try and get the difference on a shot - it worked indeed!
You can see the blue reflections on the water which is the beautiful effect of that class.

You could possibly hear the expression "sweet spot" when discussing golf clubs. This is basically the area about the club face that reaps greatest results when striking the ball. You must practice with the clubs to determine the sweet spot for each, and make sure you bring the spot into experience of the ball with the absolute extremity of your respective downward swing.

Notice the slight difference in the color of the bracts (and even bract shapes), color of the petals, density of flowers, "leafyness" of the inflorescence, density of inflorescence, etc. between one clone and the other. Suppose the diversity in this sage adds some spice to life!
[by Peggy Lefler]. 2nd edition, revised. Toronto, Underwhich Editions, 1984? perhaps as many as 75 copies(?).]
5-1/2 x 8, cream Domtar Krypton Parchment broadside printed black silkscreen.
3rd version, with lettering by jwcurry. intended for inclusion in HEADS & H&Z, edited by curry & Michael Dean, the paper stencil gave out far short of the requisite 2oo copies. the majority of the incomplete edition was given to the author for use as stationery, most of which was so used & distributed.
Finally took the time to figure out how to combine two images into one... I think I may be doing it wrong but either way it worked!
Day 19
In this series of images I wanted to document the difference between gender and sex.
The gender/sex debate is longstanding, and to particular people this has a rather large impact on their every day life.
I wish to point out; the model in these images did not dress up just for the shots taken.
He is one, which struggles regularly with this issue, as do many others in his situation.
According to Sociology texts and many sites online, gender is regular described, as “Gender is a set of characteristics distinguishing between male and female, particularly in the cases of men and women”
Often these characteristics are not physical, they are temperamental, social, and behavioural characteristics.
Sex is more often used to describe the physical traits of a particular person.
The two are not always in unison.
Unfortunately for some, the sex they are born is not necessarily the sex that they feel they should be.
E.g. A male born into a female body or a female born into a male body.
To counteract this imbalance, many faced with this difficult issue dress as they feel.
I wanted to show the transition from one sex to another, to show the subject in their regular environment, a part of his daily life, and to show how he transforms himself into someone completely different.
It could be described as his alter ego. Someone, who he feels comfortable being. Someone, who is completely different to what he, is in his regular life.
Although, in saying that, in most cases this is who the person is. This is who they feel as though they should be.
Their regular persona is actually their alter ego.

Not a particularly good shot but you can at least see the difference in the size. I had never seen a wild baby rat before and had I not known there were adults around I might have made the mistake of thinking it was a rather large mouse, lol. White and hooded babies I am used to :)
It was a splendid Wednesday morning in Vadapalani and Mylapore here in Chennai on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavati :) I am also so happy to tell you that on talking to the vendors selling Ganesh idols, saw significant increase in sales of clay Idols than the colored plaster of paris idols !! :) over 95% of the people opted for the Clay idol. Really there are some changes in the minds of the people. Many schools participated in selling clay idols made my school children and very cheap price :)
