One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mesilla Valley is the plaza in Mesilla.

The plaza has a variety of interesting shops, restaurants, and bars. It is also a historical site and the pink building on the left was an early territorial capitol; the Gadsden Purchase was signed here, too. Nortorious outlaw "Billy the Kid" frequented Mesilla, hence the gift shop commemorating him.

But, I imagine that many people like to visit the plaza simply to experience the distinctive regional architecture.

While the plaza has a configuration that is not unlike many American town squares, the buildings' shapes, materials, and colors are rather distinctive and attractive. The simple box shapes, minimal windows, flat roofs, thick adobe walls, and variations of earth-tone hues reflect the key architectural elements of territorial New Mexico.

Notice the slight difference in the color of the bracts (and even bract shapes), color of the petals, density of flowers, "leafyness" of the inflorescence, density of inflorescence, etc. between one clone and the other. Suppose the diversity in this sage adds some spice to life!

Difference appears to be bright (Ashy) vs dark red (Black) eyes. It seems

quite marginal to me. I have been quite confused for long. But the rectal

spot on Black drongo (vs none on Ashy) is very helpful.

i love the difference of the rural dhobi ghat against the chic modern building

There is a big difference between being nothing and being something that experiences nothingness.

Indeed, if death is complete annihilation, why should it be feared?

Lucretius.

Once death has occurred, the deceased individual no longer exists as a subject of experiences.

An event can be good or bad for individuals only if they exist at the time of the event, as subjects of possible experiences.

humanism.org.uk/education/courses/death-dying-and-meaning/

Death, Dying and Meaning

1. What’s so bad about death?

The nature of death – annihilation and non-existence;

Surviving as the same person over time;

Death as a harm – assessment of the argument of Lucretius;

What do you lose through death?

The harm of dying young.

2. Ending lives

Some case studies of suicide/euthanasia;

Some distinctions: epistemic/metaphysical; legal/moral;

The sanctity of human life: the right to life / the right to death;

Hume on suicide;

Mill’s Liberty Principle and respect for individuals’ autonomy;

Slippery slope arguments;

Euthanasia and palliative care.

3. Respecting the dying and the deceased

How we do respect the dead;

Lucretius argument re ‘no harms when dead’;

How to be harmed even when dead;

Betrayal example / Kafka’s request example;

Respecting euthanasia requests – binding ourselves in the future;

Non-voluntary euthanasia / organ donation etc.

4. Death and the meaning of life

‘What’s the point?’ Eternal life solves nothing;

Valuing both ends and means;

‘We are but specks in the universe;’

Non-existence before birth: a mirror to death;

Drinking the elixir of life – the need for death;

Perspectives on life.

"On the one hand, when life is going well for individuals, death strikes most of us as obviously undesirable. After all, something that is going well ought not to be brought to an end – well, so we may think. On the other hand, when things are going badly for individuals, death may then seem highly desirable."

Photos from left to right: 1) Traveler hook I received. 2) Traveler hook featured in video from 2020 before I made my purchase. 3) Traveler hook in assembly video posted September 2021.

The first photo is of the tool I received but it doesn't match either or the tools featured in the videos. I'm not trying to bash Lawpicking Lawyer. I just want to point out the discrepancy. I did contact Covert Instruments and I'm waiting for a reply.

I purchased the Covert Companion from Lockpicking Lawyer's website, www.covertinstruments.com.

The traveler hook I received has a rounded tip. Was it manufactured incorrectly or was it upgraded? I'm not sure. The original video www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5M-DDsv2qs shows a pointed tip but then in a following video www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoekD-EFvJ0 in September 2021 the traveler hook radius is in the opposite direction. I'm confused.

No instructions provided. There is one link on one of the packages that instructs the purchaser to Please watch our assembly video at GetKeySmart.com/Assembly but there is no video at the link provided.

What’s the difference between a collapse, a downfall, and a downright apocalypse? How will it all end, and why do we love to wonder? Ice or fire, zombies or bombs? Out with a bang or a whimper? And can we do anything to stop the decline?

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, the new free exhibition at Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin, will explore why the disastrous can be devilishly entertaining, and whether there’s any truth to these dismal predictions. Join doomers, designers, and doctors as they lay out the top threats to our world, evaluate how likely they are, and spell out exactly what we can do about it. The exhibition opened on 13th October and runs until 11th February 2018. For more information, visit dublin.sciencegallery.com/icoe.

The Make a Difference Area at Summer Camp is located just outside the main walkway to the Moonshine Stage and hosts a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. We hope that the education these groups provide at their booths and during panel discussions in the Soulshine Tent will increase your awareness of important environmental and human rights issues, and inspire you to get involved and take action in a positive way…both locally and around the world!

What a difference a few days makes (for the bloom on the dogwood tree) and a few hours earlier in the day (for elminating shadows from the lawn). Shot this at 1:30 pm so the sky took some work to fatten up a bit, but the post on this shot was minimal compared to the previous shot posted a few days ago. The tall sun angle made for uniform shadows across the house and addition.

The Science|Business Roundtable "The Energy Difference - Accelerating Energy Innovation" took place on 11 March 2011 at the Representation of the German state of Baden-Württemberg to the European Union in Brussels.

Energy R&D has some fundamental characteristics that sets it apart from that in other technology sectors. The installed base of assets means it’s difficult and costly for alternative technologies to compete. And despite the risk and huge outlays for innovation, the final products – fuel and electricity – are largely undifferentiated. Research needs long horizons and planning certainty. Would a different policy approach help Europe meet the EC’s 2020 energy goals?

Stalagmites "might" grow up to meet a Stalactite. Stalactites hang "tight" to the ceiling. Stalactites sort of lactate, so you might remember they're a bunch of lazy drips just hanging around, while the Stalagmites work slow and steady, from a strong foundation, ever onward to bigger and better things; but they can't exist at all without help from the Stalactites.

It was a pleasure meeting Adam Garone at the Stay Classy Collaborative and Classy Awards in San Diego. Movember was giving away taped on moustaches and wristbands at an event happy hour in the Gas Lamp District to raise awareness. Movember is an annual event. Men grow moustaches during the month of November and raise money to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate cancer. The goal is to "change the face of men’s health." Over the last 11 years, they've raised $710 million for men’s health. 2015 numbers are posted in Sep 2016. There are 719,217 Mo Bros & Mo Sistas in 21 countries.
