Die Wartburg is one of the main castles of middle Germany, it is linked with the Protestant reformer Martin Luther who stayed there in 1523 to translate the Bible from Greek into German. Die Wartburg has Unesco World Heritage status. The beautiful castle stands proudly above the town of Eisenach in Thuringia.
The die stock is a piece of equipment that is very important to the process of creating uniform threads on different types of screws, bolts, and pipes. Essentially, it is a frame that helps to keep the cutting tools in alignment, thus ensuring that the threads are evenly spaced and are cut to the specifications required. .
These individual dies are razor sharp and are capable of cutting into the metal of the screw or pipe facing with relative ease. The use of the die stock makes it possible to apply uniform pressure to the task of creating the threads, thus ensuring that the threads are of the same depth all the way along the surface of the pipe, bolt, or screw.

These games are located in the Oktoberfest village and have been in place since the hamlet's opening on May 22nd, 1976. In this photo the games you see are Snake Pit, Dead Ball Toss, Football Toss, Derby Dogs, and Toss-a-Ball. All games on this stretch are closed during Christmas Town.
There used to be a "guess your weight/age" game where that table is now in the picture. This game was taken out in 2011 during Oktoberfest's renovations, which involved placing a path where the game was. The elevated piece of concrete with the guardrails led to the game's platform.
