A comic operetta by Johann Strauss presented jointly by UGA's Hugh Hodgson School of Music and Department of Theatre and Film Studies with choreography through the Department of Dance. The UGA production transports Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, originally set in 19th century Vienna, to early 20th century New Orleans during Mardi Gras. The production is in English, from a new translation by performer and composer Quade Winter. A love story set amidst a triangle of seduction, a masquerade ball, playful revenge and public spectacle, Die Fledermaus employs opera conventions, such as the Italian tenor and a Russian prince for comic effect.

Die neuen Lions City der ESWE machen meiner Meinung nach deutlich interessantere Sachen mit dem blauen und orangenen Streifen als ältere Modelle.
Die ehemalige Dampfwäscherei vom Südbahnhotel, erbaut 1906, das Kesselhaus wurde abgerissen, im Hauptgebäude wurden Ferienwohnungen adaptiert. Die Gipfel von Rax und Schneeberg sind noch zu erkennen.

The Dying Slave is a sculpture by the Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo. Created between 1513 and 1516, it was to serve with another figure, the Rebellious Slave, at the tomb of Pope Julius II.[1] It is a marble figure 2.28 metres (7' 6") in height, and is held at the Louvre, Paris.
The man's left wrist is strapped to the back of the neck, and there is a band around his chest. A monkey, only partially carved, grasps his left shin, representing either art as mere "aping" (mimesis) or suggesting earthly passions. The artist and work were influenced by the late BC Rhodian sculpture Laocoön and His Sons.
Ein Aussichtspunkt über der Isar bei Schlederloh in der Nähe von Icking. Von hier hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick über die Pupplinger aus bis zum Gebirge. Leider wächst der Hang von unten her immer weiter zu.
Als die Straße von Mockethal nach Wehlen noch ein bescheidener schmaler Pfad war, standen hier zwei stattliche Linden am Wegesrand. Da sich vom sogenannten Wehlener Plateau eine gute Sicht auf die Tafelberge des Elbsandsteingebirges bietet, wurde 1882 auf Initiative des Gebirgsvereins für die Sächsisch-Böhmische Schweiz in die größere Linde in 14 Meter Höhe ein hölzernes Aussichtsgerüst eingebaut. Leider bestand der ungewöhnliche Aussichtsturm nur wenige Jahre, er fiel im Sommer 1911 einem Feuer zum Opfer.

One highlight of the night was Ninja commenting on UAB basketball's defeat of Oklahoma State in the NCAA basketball tournament (a watch party was held at the venue before the concert" and he said, "Congratulations on your UAB team fucking that other team up today. Good shit!"
