Die Glienicker Brücke verbindet über die Havel hinweg die Städte Berlin (Ortsteil Wannsee des Bezirks Steglitz-Zehlendorf) und Potsdam, Stadtteil Berliner Vorstadt. Ihren Namen verdankt sie dem in der Nähe gelegenen ehemaligen Gut Klein Glienicke, an dessen Stelle heute das Schloss Glienicke liegt. Laxenburg ist eine Marktgemeinde in Niederösterreich, etwa 20 km südlich von Wien im Bezirk Mödling an der Schwechat. Bekannt ist der Ort vor allem für Schloss, Schlosspark und Franzensburg.

Laxenburg is a place in Lower Austria, near Vienna, with approximately 2,800 inhabitants.
History
The place is well-known for its castle, Schloss Laxenburg, which, beside Schönbrunn, was the most important summer seat of the Habsburg dynasty.
This castle became a Habsburg possession in 1333 and was extended in the 17th century by Lodovico Burnacini. The Blauer Hof (German for: blue court) or Neues Schloss (German for: new castle) was built around 1745 during the reign of empress Maria Theresia and has a Rococo interior.
The church of Laxenburg, which was the first building north of the Alps containing swung facade components (characteristics of the high baroque), was built between 1693 and 1703 by Carlo Antonio Carlone and continued between 1703 and 1724 by Matthias Steinl.
After 1780, the castle garden was rearranged as an English landscape garden. It contains several artificial ponds, and, on an island, the Franzensburg castle, named after emperor Franz I, can be found.
In 1849, the current political municipality was founded. In 1919, the city of Vienna took over the war-damaged castle. Since then, the city of Vienna became the property owner of the park area of Laxenburg.
After the Anschluss of Austria in 1938, the municipality of Laxenburg became part of the city Vienna. In 1954, the place became independent again and was returned to Lower Austria.
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), a non-governmental research organization, has been located in Laxenburg since 1975.
Die Wartburg is one of the main castles of middle Germany, it is linked with the Protestant reformer Martin Luther who stayed there in 1523 to translate the Bible from Greek into German. Die Wartburg has Unesco World Heritage status. The beautiful castle stands proudly above the town of Eisenach in Thuringia.

Die Bundestagsfraktion DIE LINKE führt eine Veranstaltung über ihre Arbeit in der ablaufenden Legislatur durch.
Da ich meine neue Eos 7D ausprobieren wollte, kam mir dieser verlassene Ort sehr gelegen und ich schoss gleich mal ein Panorama in HDR.
Leider stimmten noch nicht alle Einstellungen, sodass es mit verschiedenen Blenden geschossen wurde, aber naja man lernt ja auch dazu ;-)

Pans Labyrinth ist ein spanisch-mexikanischer Kinofilm aus dem Jahr 2006. Regie führte der mexikanische Regisseur Guillermo del Toro, der zugleich auch das Drehbuch verfasst hat. Der Film, der vor dem Hintergrund militärischer Repression in der Zeit nach dem spanischen Bürgerkrieg spielt, ist eine Mischung aus Filmdrama und Fantasyfilm. Deutscher Kinostart des Filmes war am 22. Februar 2007.
Bei Filmpreisen war Pans Labyrinth sehr erfolgreich. Bei der am 25. Februar 2007 stattgefundenden Verleihung der Oscars gewann der Film drei Oscars und war in drei weiteren Kategorien nominiert, unter anderem als Bester fremdsprachiger Film. Beim BAFTA-Award 2007 konnte er drei Preise gewinnen und war in fünf anderen Kategorien nominiert.
Pan's Labyrinth (Spanish: El Laberinto del Fauno) is a 2006 Spanish language fantasy film, written and directed by Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro. It was produced and distributed by the Mexican film company Esperanto Films.
