You have always been anything but gentle. Confident, spirited, and quite rambunctious, I often wondered just how a new baby would fit into your world. However, since the moment you first held your new sister, I saw a whole new side to you, and knew that this was exactly who you were meant to be.

The central courtyard inside the Sankatha (Durga goddess) temple in Benares, India. I love how the ancient tree trunk organically embraces small shrines to Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva. The spiritual energy of this place is beautifully deep and palpable
Welcome to a night in the office from hell.
It’s 1983 and in an abandoned workplace in the Midlands, two solitary clerical workers sit down at their desks to begin a routine night shift. The devotion of a parent to a child is truly amazing. I had an awesome chance to observe this devotion many times over during the holiday season. And reflecting on this, I don't think I'll ever come close to giving back everything my parents have sacrificed for me - but I can certainly try!
And - my first photo with my Nikon D80. :)
