After taking bath the devotees travel the entire road from the pond to the temple rolling on their back. The process is quite tedious as the distance is close to 1 KM, their body is bare other that the loincloth and they have not had food for about 18 hours straight.

Keeping the tradition alive in Sade village, a traditional Sasak village just north of Kuta Lombok, an old woman is working on a traditional Sasak cloth. After my return from this village I saw this old woman in postcards about Lombok. Looks like she's been doing it for decades.

The title of this picture comes from the inscription "Vota Vita Mea" on the statue in the foreground. It's meaning is " I am devoted "
The many giant faces throughout the Bayon Temple are thought to represent Lokesvara, the compassionate, Buddhist divinity with four faces. King Jayavarman VII, the builder of many temples may have used his own likeness for the hundreds of stone heads to be seen in the temples.

Ananda Bharatii is a Master Unit in County Clare, Southern Ireland.
Set in the beautiful Irish country side this wonderful working farm has been nurtured from a few battered old buildings and muddy ground, into a retreat centre with running heated water and compost toilet by the determined and sustained effort of Didi Anandaprama.
Didi has also built a poly tunnel, outhouse and has planted indiginous fruits, vegetables and trees ready for harvesting.
