It’s 1983 and in an abandoned workplace in the Midlands, two solitary clerical workers sit down at their desks to begin a routine night shift. The Basílica do Senhor Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, located in Congonhas, Brazil, is an 18th-century Roman Catholic basilica and UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its Baroque architecture and Italian-inspired Rococo interior. Designed by Aleijadinho, it features a grand outdoor stairway adorned with soapstone statues of Old Testament prophets and seven chapels depicting the Stations of the Cross with expressive polychrome sculptures.
Recognized in 1985 for its cultural significance, the basilica attracts thousands of pilgrims annually, blending profound religious devotion with exceptional artistic heritage.
This little guy was crawling on the floor of the Shwedagon temple. He was quite curious. I really like the expression on his face. He appeared miniscule compared the hugeness all around.
