Working on design for a quilt to be auctioned off at a Fashion Show and Luncheon to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. I don't like how the white block in the row across the bottom looks....pattern is distracting.

A sitemap design I created for Investors Guaranty. Tired of traditional sitemap formats, I designed something new.

I made this outfit several years ago for a fashion show fundraiser for Destination Foundation--a non-profit that arranges dream trips for the terminally ill.

The outfit was made from upholstery fabrics donated by a local furniture design company whose name is aggravatingly eluding me (starts with a 'K.' Big company. )

The jacket is one I've made a few times. It's a very simple design that works remarkably well as a removable outer layer--it also looks smart tied around the waist. I like to put a small pocket on the sleeve for cash and cards, which is very cute. Want one? Contact me!

Peter Ward signage design, before 1990. I thought that I had more of the Australian work. I'll keep looking.

l'Artisan Liturgique no. 6 (Aout-Septembre 1927).

Come upon an emerging design, and against certain lights, an industrial high noon, the silhouette of invention stretches itself out, turns darker, heavier, it begins throwing off its own long shadows – smokestacks, carbon, the metallic haze of industry and plastic.

But then there’s the design that wandered off, the one that turns its face to the sun and makes itself translucent in the light, that takes on the shapes and colors of the world outside it, that remembers its foundations will rest on the earth.

Design family room for families (2 adults + 2 children) at Royal Ramblas hotel in Barcelona

There is an oasis in the heart of the city that is still relatively unknown because it is new. The new design plaza which is still under construction has an information center that is worth a visit. You are greeted by a knowledgeable host with impeccable English who will explain the area to you in detail. The second and third floors of the information center are filled with great details, exhibits, artistic models and it is very futuristic. The plaza will be finished in 2014 but the information center should be visited now so you can see the future. After your stop here, the park area, which is open now, is your next stop. Information on the park will be posted later today.

This is the second evolution of the bodywork design. Air exits are smaller and surfaces are more simple and clean. Now the bike starts looking more like a race bike.

classic design takes time.

Well, not really, it's years of looking, eating and sleeping design till you can just flip a coin and come up with wonderful things...

Basically, this is all nonsense since design is in the eye of the beholder, like art what is beautiful to me can be horrible to you.

So what do I mean by classic design takes time? It simply means that sometimes you need to take time from high tech CS worlds and go back to simply doing something fresh just for the fun of it!

You dig?

Don't really know where I'm going with this, but it struck me there's something different about the all-touchpoint top down traditional service design approach (that I find breaks down in any large company due to a lack of unified front), to just making small things and see if they work. Also I just wanted to be the first to use the term spimordial soup.
