Tribunal

August 21, 2004.

Here it is, the big daddy. Currently holding the record for the longest SHIP at 12 feet 6 inches, or 487 studs, the Tribunal was a substantial investment in time and labor for me. I decided that, for it I would upload an entire set of the beautiful pictures taken by Geoff Gray, in glorious high resolution. There are descriptions of what all the rooms and areas are on the web site, although the pictures are pretty substantial too.

This set is enormous, so enjoy the browsing!

Notice the aluminum top and bottom rails have been cut and installed.

Bumped this out into a semi-circle last summer. Planted with ostrich ferns, sweet woodruff, gifted hostas, primroses, and Golden Lights azalea.

The entranceway to the Ballot Box

Post holes dug and frame built - cement setting.

..stencil and spray paint, no pens..

..finished this deck for my daughter today, just needs to be varnished..

..typically I changed my mind mid way through, there were drips and deliberate white specks and splashes, then the flowers took over and I wished I had a cleaner background..

..you can't see from the photo but the 'peace' lettering fades and the top of the deck is clean wood no paint..

Screwing some decking down. Putting anti weed protection in ax well

We only have the lights on the stairs yet to be done.

I won't give too much more description - hopefully the purpose of this projection/configuration is either obvious - or will become apparent in the (hopefully) near future.

(Once again - no mathmap, rather C++)

The spa under the glass canopy has a long Greek name that ends in "therapy." It features a salt water swimming pool with bubblers and spouts. The temperature is warm and the water has a very high density. Also under the canopy, they have two hot tubs, a snack bar that features healthy food, a chubby lady statue (www.flickr.com/photos/howard33/6715661305/in/photostream), lots of lounges like you see on deck, soft music, and a sign that says age 18 and up. Most of the people in there are WAY up. Windows on the side offer a clear view of the ocean, because the spa extends out underneath the deck that you see in this picture. We spent a lot of time in there.

Join us on Sunday, May 29, 3-8pm for Drinks on the Deck featuring our signature cocktail selections, small plates to tease your appetite, and a spectacular view.

Enjoy a cocktail in our original handmade glass while overlooking the falls of the Ottauquechee River and the historic Quechee covered bridge. Inside The Mill is our Simon Pearce glassblowing workshop, restaurant and retail store; highlighting traditional craftsmanship and New England charm.

Small plates, full bar, signature cocktail selections and non-alcoholic offerings will be available

Another shot down Bourbon St. During the day this place (or at least the crowd) is completely different.

Rich put the grill together...and we had burgers for dinner!

This is a photo of the new deck under construction. It is almost complete now, and I will post photos of this when it is ready.

The deck is designed in Sketchup down to the planks and foundation.

Again this was done to determine both the look and size I wanted, and the materials I will need.

The second deck hasn't been sawn off to the octagon yet...
