This image shows a single frame from the very short (3-4 frame) sections of nitrate film stock accessioned at The National Archives from Herbert Ponting's footage of the Antarctic. For preservation reasons copies were made of of the original nitrate negatives and these were used to produce modern black and white Kodak prints of the clips which we have scanned for the web. The quality of the resultant images is variable.

Deck was washed with idustrial deck wash and 150 degree water and then stained with owner's choice.

Built by the United Electric Car Company (Dick Kerr, Preston) in 1902, Bolton tramcar 66 is by far the oldest vehicle currently in use on the Blackpool network at the staggering age of 112. As with most trams built at that time, 66 was originally an open top tram, the cover being a later addition. This photo shows the upper deck passenger saloon of the tram.

16x12 ready deck with 4 foot wide steps

Deck T houses the Main Reactor Control room. Unlike later warp core assemblies, which are in main engineering, here it is kept close to the outer hull, right above the antimatter pods. Next are a set of bathrooms and snack bars, followed by the botanical garden with its distinctive large windows. The botany lab is next. There are two large fitness rooms, and two personnel transporters, followed by more lifeboats.

I love the shots you can get on a cruise ship when you wake up early in the morning and get out there before all the people swarm the deck. ;-)

Notice the aluminum top and bottom rails have been cut and installed.

Bumped this out into a semi-circle last summer. Planted with ostrich ferns, sweet woodruff, gifted hostas, primroses, and Golden Lights azalea.

..finished this deck for my daughter today, just needs to be varnished..

..typically I changed my mind mid way through, there were drips and deliberate white specks and splashes, then the flowers took over and I wished I had a cleaner background..

..you can't see from the photo but the 'peace' lettering fades and the top of the deck is clean wood no paint..

We only have the lights on the stairs yet to be done.
