it's been lovely, sunny and warm recently. with our awesome south facing exposure the furnace has been taking a welcome break from heating the house
Pictures of the Cumaru deck boards in the Spring of 2015. The deck boards were installed around May of 2012 and has been sanded and oiled three times so far. This year I'm letting it go without oiling to see how I like it. I do like it when it's freshly oiled and now I want to see how it does without oiling.
Patio / Deck project that we did in the 2 months prior to my daughters wedding. The Oklahoma wind helped take down part of the old swimming pool for us.
Better lighten the deck
Finding the two geese sisters (who are solid white) will be a challenge today, or so it seems. Toward sundown, the geese always go to Cove Park to be at the ferry dock and right at the tide line. If its dark, then I will listen for a quack for directions to my friends. They are especially glad during this time of year to be given some whole grain bread.

1200 sq. ft. Evergrain deck with many different custom accessories. The balcony has a glass rail and finished underneath so the deck portion is usable during rain. The gazebo is set up 2 steps from the main deck and set with a fan underneath for hot nights. The kitchen area was completely designed & installed by our crew including the tile. Every step has 2 step lights along with every post having solar light caps. We resurfaced the dock and added a large gate from the main deck area to access it.
I had to try one out. I'll remote the tape from the red line that's inside the tube since it's really hard to pull out with it on.
The tube will be pulled flush with the deck but first I'll put a few layers of fiberglass in between the tube and the wood. That will be filled with resin and then I'll add a few layers of fiberglass on top as well. When it's cured I'll just pull out the rope, then the plastic tube and then I'll have a moulded internal channel to pull my lines through.
Had forgotten to mark out the deck line so I had to do that afterwards. I filled in the deck line on the paper with ink since I'd only done it with a pencil before and some of the lines were already disappearing.
While visiting the World Trade One Observatory Deck on the very last minutes of the visiting hours, we were able to enjoy a fantastic cityscape looking towards New Jersey shoreline, with the Liberty Statue in the middle of the view. Fantastic experience.
