After Taunggyi, Kalaw and Inle Lake, I visited the city of Bagan. There i took the famous Hot Air Balloon to enjoy the sights of Bagan.
Bagan (Burmese: ပုဂံ; MLCTS: pu.gam, IPA: [bəɡàɴ]; formerly Pagan) is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Burma (Myanmar). From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

A poem by the Chilean poet Sara Vial for the drowned can be found on a plaque nearby:

I work at a Pre-K/daycare as a substitute teacher. Its important to occasionally check the load bearing capabilities of the children's toys. This is also known as my playing on the kids equipment after work.

The spotted hyena's scientific name, Crocuta, was once widely thought to be derived from the Latin loanword crocutus, which translates as "saffron-coloured one", in reference to the animal's fur colour. This was proven to be incorrect, Crocuta actually comes from the Greek word Krokottas, which is derived from the Sanskrit koṭṭhâraka, which in turn originates from kroshṭuka (both of which were originally meant to signify the golden jackal).
The spotted hyena has a strong and well developed neck and forequarters, but relatively underdeveloped hindquarters. The rump is rounded rather than angular, which prevents attackers coming from behind from getting a firm grip on it. The head is wide and flat with a blunt muzzle and broad rhinarium. In contrast to the striped hyena, the ears of the spotted hyena are rounded rather than pointed. Each foot has four digits, which are webbed and armed with short, stout and blunt claws. The paw-pads are broad and very flat, with the whole undersurface of the foot around them being naked. The tail is relatively short, being 300–350 mm long, and resembles a pompom in appearance. Unusually among hyaenids, and mammals in general, the female spotted hyena is considerably larger than the male. Both sexes have a pair of anal glands which open into the rectum just inside the anal opening. These glands produce a white, creamy secretion which is pasted onto grass stalks by everting the rectum. The odour of this secretion is very strong, smelling of boiling cheap soap or burning, and can be detected by humans several metres downwind. The spotted hyena has a proportionately large heart, constituting close to 1% of its body weight, thus giving it great endurance in long chases. In contrast, a lion's heart makes up only 0.45-0.57 percent of its body weight
In Tanzania's Selous Game Reserve, spotted hyenas primarily prey on wildebeest, followed by buffalo, zebra, impala, giraffe, reedbuck and kongoni.

Hyena "spotted Hyena" Crocuta
Estar a 10 cm de ti y notar que no puedo respirar. Querer decir tan solo una palabra y no salir de mi ni el mas leve de los sonidos...
Mi corazón no puede parar, va a mil revoluciones. Mis piernas tiemblan y mi pecho se transforma en algo incontrolable, algo incomprensible. Solo puedo pensar en una cosa, el roce de mi mano con tu piel, el calor de tu aliento en mi nuca, el sentir de tus labios en los míos, notar tu pecho contra el mio, entrelazar las manos, los brazos, las piernas y abandonar toda razón, todo pensamiento anterior.
El poder que ejerces sobre mi es mayor que el de un volcán en plena erupción. Una vez que empieza no se puede parar hasta que se termina y todo termina calcinado.
No sabría describir las sensaciones que produces, tampoco se si podría vivir sin ellas, solo estoy seguro de una cosa, todas las maravillas de la tierra no podrán nunca compararse con una sonrisa, una mirada o un solo guiño de tus ojos...
