This is how I left the table tonight, after taking photos. The foreground-half of the table is recent dolls on display. My usual storage places are too full, so I can't put them away yet. I want to work on buying or building wig stands; I have a few other wigs that aren't pictured here.
The background-half of the table has a few boxes and whatever had been on the table before.

Selous Reserve, Tanzania.December 2011
Lycaon pictus is a large canid found only in Africa, especially in savannas and lightly wooded areas. It is variously called the African wild dog, African hunting dog, Cape hunting dog, painted dog, painted wolf, painted hunting dog, spotted dog, or ornate wolf.
The African wild dog hunts in packs and small groups. Like most members of the dog family, it is a cursorial hunter, meaning that it pursues its prey in a long, open chase. Nearly 80% of all wild dog hunts end in a kill; for comparison, the success rate of lions, often viewed as ultimate predators, is only 30%. Members of a pack vocalize to help coordinate their movements. Its voice is characterized by an unusual chirping or squeaking sound, similar to a bird. Wild dogs frequently kill larger prey via disemboweling, a technique that is rapid but has caused this species to have a negative, ferocious reputation.
After a successful hunt, the hunters will regurgitate meat for those that remained at the den during the hunt including the dominant female, the pups, the sick or injured, the old and infirm, and those who stayed back to guard the pups.
The African wild dog's main prey varies among populations but always centers around medium-to-large sized ungulates, such as the impala, Thomson's Gazelle, Springbok, kudu, reedbuck, and wildebeest calves. The most frequent single prey species depends upon season and local availability. In the Selous Game Reserve, the most frequent prey is impala.

Min far, alltid like kunnskapstørst.

My father often lie on the floor. Often while he reads the newspaper. This photo was taken on Christmas Eve after the gifts were extracted. My mother in the background, her embroidered cushions - fruit and cakes on the table. My father always hungry for knowledge. A documentary photo of two lives that together complement each other.

Day 2 of my roadtrip: Just one more photo of Rangitata Valley. It's too beautiful not to share! This one was taken early morning (7am) - well, early for me, because the sun had been up for over an hour... - on my way to climb Mt Sunday, which some of you might know as Edoras, capital of the Rowan people (LOTR).
Please feel free to leave a comment and/or critique. Favs are welcome too! ;)
I was going to shoot from the west side of the bridge with the sun at my back. Then the SCL freight pulled in, stopped, and put an to that idea. In retrospect, this view shows the Southern yard in the background, and the Pintos have grown on me...

The Noonans were a sentient mammalian species native to the Outer Rim planet Noona in the Noona orbit system. Their homeworld became part of the Relgrim sector, an area of space explored between 3,000–25 BBY, (Galactic history). Contrary to popular belief The Noonans are not completely extinct; they come out at night and perform strange rituals in pockets of urban areas disguised as pubs.
Here some of the Noonans, under the name 'Swinging Black Jacks' playing for Saturday night revelers. Matt Allen, Gary Kendall and Adam David are the usual protagonists.
