Buddha is happy - he has something to hold: A vintage Shanghai 1120-410 wristwatch, with a rather rare black dial. Handwound 17-jewel SS1 movement. The movement is marked EL, thus produced in Dec. 1969. Here is another one, with a pretty common white dial and 2 years older.

All my dolls are good friends but the 3 ladies are really great friends.
My dolls have full back-stories and personalities (Dollalities?) ... my 3 ladies are a little older, with established careers and I think their personalities really work well together.
Lillian Gish is an actress - she is wise and a bit maternal.
Imogen LaMarr is an actress too (mostly in movies) she is also a photographer. Imogen is quite serious - can be a bit intense at times.
Ruby Rose is a mezzo soprano - Ruby gets the giggles easily (unfortunately she often gets the giggles when unattractive Tenors are singing love songs at her!) Ruby balances Imogen's seriousness!

今日も冷たい空気が東京に充満している。昨日も朝早くから夜遅くまでぼくの頭のハードディスクはフル回転したせいか、かなり疲れている模様？今日の朝はさすがに起き上がれずに、いくつかの「To Do」をすっ飛ばしてしまった。この後も打ち合わせが続く。とはいうものの、昨晩は久しぶりに小倉さんと西麻布に新しく支店を出したお好み焼きや「三輪」 にて楽しく、実のある話を交わし、確かな未来を感じる。ぼくの友人もリストラされる程に最悪の不景気の中、大きなキャンペーンの仕事が決まったり、これだ け忙しくしているのだから良しとすることにする？いつものようにふと空を見上げると、美しい雲が棚引いている。昨今のノーベル賞受賞パーティーの報道のせいか、この空気のせいか、はたまたボルボの状態が気になっているせいか、以前、政府観光局の関係で何度も訪れたスウェーデンの空を思い出す。現在の嘘っぽ い？北欧ブームに嫌気がさしながらも、やっぱり北欧好きの自分がいる。来年は北欧行きたいなぁな空。＠東ヶ丘

Piles of broken tree limbs, palm fronds, and other debris line the road near the North Vista waiting to be hauled off and converted into mulch as the clean-up continues at The Huntington following Wednesday night’s severe windstorm. The institution was closed for three days as pathways, perimeter roads, and the parking lot were cleared.
