The Cube Dude Pirate is my entry for the "Pirate Part Plunder 2 Week 3" contest on ForbiddenCove.com. The seed part is the Crowbar (#4599453) two are used, one in the peg leg and one for the hook in the hand.
In retrospect, my hair last year looked pretty damn good and I now want a wig modeled after that haircut to wear for days--as shown in this photo--where my hair is not up to par.
And I'm week behind in posting this. Fail.
The reasons behind this fail: I'm wrapping up the current segment I'm working on which we deliver on Tuesday and also cleaning the house to an obscene level of cleanliness for the influx of family that have already started to arrive. The family who won't notice that I dusted the inside of the hutch. But I do it anyway. It comforts me.

Kubuswoningen, or cube houses, are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in The Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom in 1984. The houses in Rotterdam are located on Overblaak Street, and beside the Blaak Subway Station. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. There are 38 small cubes and two so called 'super-cubes', all attached to each other.
As residents are disturbed so often by curious passers-by, one owner decided to open a "show cube", which is furnished as a normal house, and is making a living out of offering tours to visitors.
The houses contain three floors:
ground floor entrance
first floor with living room and open kitchen
second floor with two bedrooms and bathroom
top floor which is sometimes used as a small garden
The walls and windows are angled at 54.7 degrees. The total area of the apartment is around 100 square meters, but around a quarter of the space is unusable because of the walls that are under the angled ceilings.

With steady hands, image-stabilization and a higher ISO low-lights shot are definitely doable. Overall, a decent kit lens I would say.

I tried to explain to “The Cube” that this is a very difficult shot when you have to work the camera and launch “The Cube” at the same time, and how this was the best shot of 84, He just mumbled something about being thrown on the floor 25 time’s.

About the Building - Architects: Sanna (Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa)
The design, a cuboid structural shell, picks up the basic functional and effective idea used by the original Zollverein architects Schupp and Kremmer.
The oversized cube, which measures 35 meters by 35 meters and is 35 meters high, reflects the dimensions of the Zollverein mine.
The seemingly coincidental organization of the openings, windows in three different sizes, create an unusual interaction with the surroundings and the interior.
I have FINALLY solved the puzzle... the most difficult puzzle ever... the Rubix Cube!
cEntEr of thE stoRm, I actually did it... so the cube is headed back home. Fun stuff. Good times. If I see another Rubix Cube again... I'm gonna scream. =)
P.S. Like the "Retro" sweater the cube is resting on... it feels at home there. I bought it at a thrift store for an upcoming "Ugly Sweater Party"... should be fun.
