The Nissan Cube is one of the very few cars where the right side differs from the left. This is a left hand drive version. In right hand driven versions the assymmetry is done the other way round. The Nissan Cube was available over here for just a year as Nissan stopped sales back in 2011.

I'm too lazy to look for solutions myself, so I wrote a program to do it for me. It found 236136 = 9839x24 solutions. Fortunately this agrees with what it says on the box the puzzle comes in :). How hard is it to solve this puzzle? Well the program isn't all that smart but: on average it found a solution every 164000 or so "placements". By a placement I mean putting down one piece somewhere within the cube.

Two Lume Cubes at work on on a 20+ metre high gum tree. The lower trunk is about 8 metres away from the camera.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN---This open cube is newly made from recycled wood in an industrial vintage style. Rolls beautifully, perfect for moving it to various locations to hold some books and a cold beer.

This is a faster method than is available in the video.
The major subunit is 6rings. The only exception is the inside of the corners, where 3 4rings come together.
The edges of the cube are square in section.

Nissan car with its enthusiastic, "inspired by a bulldog wearing sunglasses" face and asymmetrical rear, at first glance the cube looks more like a punchline than a car. Saw this very different looking car in Putnam County, Carmel,NY.

This old Pattercrisp candy tin from the late 1920s or early 1930s is just about 7"x7"x7". Great graphics. The picture of the child is repeated on the inside of the lid. Although this tin might have been sold to take home, it is just as likely to have been a container from which candy was dispensed from the store, considering it held 10lbs of candy.
