Art CUBE is a project that takes the common notion of the frame, a solid border that usually surrounds a picture or painting, and transforms this boundary into a temporary outdoor gallery space for Art Alliance Austin. This simple transformation is accomplished by extruding the frame and separating it into two halves. Next, one of the halves is rotated 90 degrees and then interlocked with the other half of the frame. The resulting gaps and spaces between the two pieces form the gallery enclosure and allow light and people to filter through the space. The result is a compact, yet sophisticated space that is secure and enhances the installation of work by selected artists.

Capturing the cube in a cage is quite an interesting imagination.I like it.
For this one, I'd like to call it 囚绿记(capturing green).
Inspired by builds I'd seen online, I decided to invest in a couple of Bluetooth Upgrade kits from Circuit Cubes. These seemed to offer a lot of potential for motorising and controlling small models and machines.
Circuit cubes are a Lego-compatible electric system designed for educational purposes. More information can be seen on the website here:

this cube was given to me by a blacksmith friend years ago. Every so often I take it in my hands and try to figure out how to use it. Now I had an idea.

Ice Cube is coming to town. I'm kind of tempted to go and spend the entire gig shouting out "SVU! SVU!", but I'd undoubtedly be beaten to a pulp :D
Cubes, cubes and more... cubes...
it is still modified Menger Sponge but I am not classifying it as fractal at all.
I got this at a flea market. It has a slide lid but no pull-up lever. It's very tall - Hard to tell in the pics... the ice cubes are more like long rectangles than cubes... The ice cubes last forever in your glass... It's a bit touchy getting the cubes out and works much better if you remove them when 'just' set to store in something else...

From the series Cubes and lights.
You are getting to know me pretty well now, I've told you how much I love glass, you MUST know that I adore lights and you might have guessed that I'm a creative, who's ALWAYS thinking about the 'next' 'creation'.
So, I had bought seasonal baubles, had the cube and the tiny lights, put them together and this was the result.
Yes, with white baubles and lights.
Been doing it for years, each year a different colour theme, although for me the colours of Christmas are still red, green and white!
It is very decorative and you can put it anywhere!
I love creativity and versatility...
Hope you this warms up your day.
Thanx for visiting, Magda (*_*)

When I returned from Japan (I spent 5 weeks there), I found my coworkers had completely sealed in my cube by cannibalizing cube walls from other parts of the office. They later added the ladder so I could get in!

This is what happens when the radio dies in my work truck... I have a lot of quiet time to watch cars on the highway. I have no idea why my brain comes up with this stuff... I just have to draw it out so I can stop obsessing about it in my mind.

This cube has two pieces of stairstep-shapped knitting that are joined to themselves and each other to form a cube.
Core Theatre, Corby Cube. The Core is comfortable and spacious with ample leg room. The tiered seating is fixed, the stalls are retractable to allow other events on the main flat floor. The theatre is not quite complete in these shots taken just after the "Open Days" on the 10th / 11th November 2010. The framework at the side of the proscenium arch is still awaiting panels to be fixed, and the pelmet above the house curtain is yet to arrive. The stage has a fully motorised fly tower. It was beset with problems which took a decade to resolve.

These are the famous Cube Houses in Rotterdam. A while ago I came across a similar photo like this, which is a view straight up from somewhere. Today after work I went looking for the spot with this view, and found it, yay!
Still it wasn't easy to get a symmetrical view, because you need a pretty wide angle. And with my Sony RX100 the minimum is 28 mm (at 35mm equivalent). But I'm pleased to have gotten all the corners of the "decagon" in the frame.
