As there are six colours in Peter's paper package, cube are a somewhat obvious idea to be folded. So I flipped through some of my books and refolded some cubes. Some? Six!
It was fun to see the different sizes of the final cubes, back row are all from 12 pieces, front row from 6. Tomoko Fuse seems to be most efficient: hers are largest.

Easy fold, nice stable model with tons of variations. Used two colours of dotted DC paper with the same dark green on the back side to arrive at a one coloured star.

That was taken two years ago, finally decided to post process it and upload it....Been feeling lazy recently :S
This is a modular cube made of six Square Weave Tessellations. The connection method is mine, the authorship of the Square Weave Tessellation seems to be disputed ( www.origamitessellations.com/2006/10/square-weave-tessell... ) but it seems to go back to Shuzo Fujimoto.
Tabs that connect the model are rather small so the model is not very stable but it can support itself and with a little care it can be handled.

The Cube - is a stage with state of the art sound system, lighting fixtures and a digital projector.The outer shell of the 28' x 28' cube is composed of diamond extrusions strung together to form a flexible curtain that draws back;revealing the stage and the structure within.

Another place in Rotterdam that's been on my list for a few years.

On is now a museum which I didn't have time to visit.
I often listen to music while I am photographing, it puts me in a certain mood and I get a lot of new ideas on what I see by what I hear. This one goes along with "Jaga Jazzist - Two things".

On June 25, 2013, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the Marine Midland Building as a New York City Landmark, under the name "140 Broadway".
I made this years ago out of 256 rubiks cubes. I would collect the cubes one at a time at garage sales and thrift store. I have a new batch of cubes piling up - but I don't seem to find them as much as I used to. Not sure what face I'll do with them!?! Probably Audrey Hepburn.

"Cube houses (Dutch: Kubuswoningen) are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in the Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest.
The houses in Rotterdam were designed in 1977 in a plan of 55, of which 39 were built.
The houses in Rotterdam are located on Overblaak Street, right above the Blaak Subway Station. There are 38 small cubes and two so called 'super-cubes', all attached to each other.
As residents are disturbed so often by curious passers-by, one owner decided to open a "show cube", which is furnished as a normal house, and is making a living out of offering tours to visitors.
The walls and windows are angled at 54.7 degrees. The total area of the apartment is around 100 square meters, but around a quarter of the space is unusable because of the walls that are under the angled ceilings.
In 2006, a museum of chess pieces was opened under the houses.
In 2009, the larger cubes were converted by Personal Architecture into a hostel run by Dutch hostel chain Stayokay."
