The Cube is a photographers delight and this is a picture of one of the lovely people statues suspended in the open air centre of this skyscraper. Often photographed so you have to do something different to grab a local's attention.

Cube houses (Dutch: Kubuswoningen) are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in the Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level, since its main purpose is to optimise the space inside. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest. The central idea of the cube houses around the world is mainly optimizing the space, as a house, to a better distribution of the rooms inside. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cube_house
Just a simple picture confirming the Christmas cubes are indeed in stores...the drama over at Eurobricks was driving me insane; what with the essential doomsday predictions that they'd never show up in stores after they sold out online a couple of days ago. Yessh! Calm down peoples!
Incidentally, I also picked up Doctor Who Ideas. And in other news, despite my apparent lack of building, I have actually been building for Brickworld 2016 this whole time, and hopefully some teasers should start coming out soon. Although I am waiting as long as possible, to see how much pain it causes Simon to wait! ;)
