Das Gebäude ist Teil des 40 Hektar großen Stadtquartiers Europacity und schließt dessen südlichen Teil ab.
Das auffällige zehngeschossige Gebäude mit einer Breite, Höhe und Länge von jeweils 42,5 Metern ist gekennzeichnet durch eine nach innen gefaltete Glasfassade. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest. Allerdings stellt der Leonardo Glass Cube keine alltäglichen Showroom dar, sondern bietet mit seiner beeindruckenden Glasfassade und dem innenarchitektonisch anspruchsvollem Interieur eine loungeartige Club- Atmosphäre.
Das in den Jahren 2004 bis 2007 geschaffene Bauwerk verbindet die Bereiche der Gebäude-, Innen- und Landschaftsarchitektur zu einem modernen Architekturkunstwerk. Geplant und umgesetzt wurde das Projekt vom Architektenteam 3deluxe.

The Glass Cube serves as a modern presentation center for the manufacturer of fine drinking vessels and glass accessories. However, the Leonardo Glass Cube is not an ordinary showroom; instead, with its impressive glass facade and sophisticated interior design, it offers a lounge-like club atmosphere.
The building, constructed between 2004 and 2007, combines the fields of building, interior, and landscape architecture into a modern architectural work of art. The project was planned and implemented by the architectural team 3deluxe.

The houses in Rotterdam are located on Overblaak Street, right above the Blaak metro station. The 1977 original plan showed 55 houses, but not all of them were built.[ There are 38 small cubes and two so called 'super-cubes', all attached to each other.
As residents are disturbed so often by curious passers-by, one owner decided to open a "show cube", which is furnished as a normal house, and is making a living out of offering tours to visitors.

The houses contain three floors:
ground floor entrance
first floor with living room and open kitchen
second floor with two bedrooms and bathroom
top floor which is sometimes used as a small garden
The walls and windows are angled at 54.7 degrees. The total area of the apartment is around 100 square metres (1,100 sq ft), but around a quarter of the space is unusable because of the walls that are under the angled ceilings.
In 2006, a museum of chess pieces was opened under the houses.
In 2009, the larger cubes were converted by Personal Architecture into a hostel run by Dutch hostel chain Stayokay.
In 2019, the Art cube opened at Overblaak 30. The Art cube is a place where art and architecture come together. With the original living layout intact, this cube house forms the backdrop for the work of various local artists.

Well it depends what you mean by real. The cube is real. The flipped corner is real and the reflection is ... a reflection. Everything else is your problem.
Since returning from last weeks visit to Belgium and the Netherlands I've been laid low with covid.
Finally feeling I can start on editing my pictures tonight.
Another place in Rotterdam that's been on my list for a few years.
Designed by Piet Bloom and built in 1977.
One is now a museum which I didn't have time to visit.

always felt like retexturing skyrim is like to make a circle look squared...
ladies and gentlemen... today i'm happy to present some Cubes :)
preview is in monstrous 4k/2k uncomp normal maps... that should help for testing eventual seams and stuff...files are all parallax ready... just find a suitable meshes replacer by yourself...i suggest vivid landscapes forts meshes.
know nothing about interior parallax but there should be something usable.

A view of the Cube Houses (Kubuswoningen) in Rotterdam. They were completed in 1984, to the design of Piet Blom (1934-1999).
Each house represents a tree, with the cube being the branches and foliage and the brick tower being the trunk. Together, the 40 houses form a 'wood'. There's a video of the inside of one here.
