The title has an additional connotation. Besides the photographed late afternoon transition coming over the city's skyline, I believe that we are witnessing an exiting and strong period of transition for Miami. I have been living in this city for about 30 years, seeing and experiencing many changes over this time. The current stage is of an unprecedented boom - again! We'll see how this interesting and new transition time evolves over the coming years.

This is a panoramic image stitched in CS6 from 5 horizontal captures. The final file in true high resolution is about 120Mb. This image was reduced for web viewing and uploaded at 2000px wide for better viewing in "View All Size" - if desired.

Continuing to dig into my archive today I came across this 5-capture bracketed sequence I shot for HDR processing. It certainly was a peaceful and beautiful sunset scene in one of my favorite locations. Additional post work done in CS6.

As many other images this one was left for "later" too. I'll keep digging for a few more images in the upcoming week.

This is a test shot at 300mm handheld with VC. I took 2 exposures: one for for the sky and the second for the subject which were blended in CS6 to create the desired result.

Je l’admire, j’applaudis

1) If anyone can ID this one, that would be great. He looks kinda waspy, but I can't confirm that with 100% accuracy.

2) I tried some new stuff with lighting. I think that I may like it.

City Hall is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority (GLA) which comprises the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. It is located in Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge. It was designed by Norman Foster and opened in July 2002, two years after the Greater London Authority was created.

City Hall was constructed at a cost of £43 million [4] on a site formerly occupied by wharves serving the Pool of London. The building does not belong to the GLA but is leased under a 25-year rent.[5] Despite its name, City Hall is neither located in nor does it serve a city (as recognised by English constitutional law), often adding to the confusion of Greater London with the City of London, whose headquarters is in the Guildhall, north of the Thames. In June 2011 Mayor Boris Johnson announced that for the duration of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the building would be called London House.
